“finally got around to unzipping the files of the first few episodes of season 3. using win.rar was very easy, even for a pc klutz like me. watching the episodes makes me happy i bought the 17 inch laptop, since there aint a lotta good english programming over here, mostly sex and the city and reality tv

“yea i downloaded and watched razor a few days ago. it was pretty decent. the jumping back and forth in time made it a little hard to follow, cuz you always had to think "ok, whats the relationship/status/knowledge, etc of these characters at this point in time?" plus, after the big cliffhanger at the end of season 3, to not follow up on that cliffhanger was a little bit of a letdown”

“I really enjoyed the original series with Dykstra doing the FX. The aftermath of the start up of Industrial Light and Magic was a fascinating time in Sci-Fi movies. But I just simply could not get into the remake. It might have helped if the names had not been carried over to the remake.

The FX are no where near as good IMO. Of course if it ain't ILM or WETA they don't have the cutting edge people working for them any way. Dykstra was able to make the jump from big screen to TV very nicely, but no one else has really managed that.”

“there has been a drastic change in the way sci fi is produced. it used to be all about the special effects but now it's all about the characters. lucas never figured this out and his so his last three star wars movies were like the first three... good effects with weak one-dimensional characters. the new bsg is exceptionally well developed and sits next to star trek enterprise and babylon 5 as some of the best sci fi ever produced for tv imo.”

“not having seen it in a long time I can only fall back on first impressions which were BLECH. The characters sucked and it was given over to the producers and writers of daytime soap operas. The recap posted before is ample proof of that last accusation. In any event.... enjoy it folks. It must have something going for it to have lasted four years.”

“I love how they cover politics and religion and really find it interesting that the humans worship the Greek gods and the cylons worship the One true God. Interesting twist methinks.”

Anyways, a few years ago I checked out the old Space 1999 movies expecting a major velveeta-fest. Seriously ... that show rawked. Even better now that I'm older. Loved it as a kid, but mostly for the spaceships and monsters. Great show.”
