“oops. i may have goofed. NOW i just read that garlic day is april 19. wow. can you imagine the smell from somebodys house on the 20th if they celebrated 4/19 AND the other national holiday that is celebrated on 4/20? herb and ....well, herb......i kinda like it”
“well, americangreetings.com says that today is "eat garlic day". i suppose that is different than just "garlic day". but can we really trust a greeting card company for this kind of information? are they really reliable? i mean, they have a vested interest in the whole thing. i say its a scam and a conspiracy by the whole industry
SCREW YOU, GARLIC!”
“Aren't you glad I showed up so you could quit talking to yourself? Dork:P”
“He seems to have a good thing going, Nimble!”
“I bought some garlic today. I hardly ever buy it, and I don't know what prompted me to do so today. Now I know it's because it's garlic day.”
“My soon to be FORMER boss is allergic to garlic...maybe I'll spice her lunch before I leave...YIKES..am I THAT cold hearted??”
“Allergic to garlic!! That would totally suck...I think I eat garlic with like every meal.”
Oh yeah, well I don't see the "Exaggeration" definition, which I was like obviously using. Doye.”
“Did Lyra just #&%!$ slap CB? Now this thread is getting interesting.”

“There were like, a thousand screaming fans.”
“Have you been outside? It's like, 100 degrees.”
“That was written like, two hundred years ago.””
“I would love to but I'm really not that mean spirited...HOWEVER...I'm thinking I may sprinkle paperclips around the office so she finds them continually...that drives her nuts to find them in the floor!”
“Oh gosh, and I sprinkled garlic powder all over my pizza for lunch on the wrong damn day! doh!”
“Hey, so I've heard that swallowing a clove of garlic in the morning acts as a pretty good mosquito repellent.
Now, I understand that it certainly works to keep the people away, but I was wondering if anybody had tried it and what results you may have had.
If nobody has, I plan to field test it on my Sierra trip this summer. I'll bring plenty of deet as well - for two reasons. One, I don't trust garlic against that horde of vampires that hits you in those mountain valleys. And two, because, seriously, screw those goddam mosquitoes.”
“There's an old thread about this subject lurking around here somewhere. HPM grew up on sulfurous well water and he never had any mosquito bites during that time.”
“I'll give it a try and report back. I'm sure my fellow hikers will love me on this trip.”
“I almost named a cat Garlic one time. I got cold feet at the last minute and went with Fred instead.”
“That's funny, because I have a cat who keeps sleeping on the pile of garlic I harvested from the garden. Funny past is she's named after chef Nigella Lawson.”
“FP - its no worse than eating ramps on a hiking trip”
“I used to take garlic pills ....they worked!!!!”
