“The People have made the correct choice.
“Those Democrats have been in charge for only a few minutes and look how they already got us bogged down in Iraq!!!!”
“Impeachment hearings. Woo hoo.”
The Right needs to shine the tin foil hats up.
Those Black Helicopters are ours now.”
My Vote for Speaker
“Democrats appear to have taken control of the Senate, also. The final deciding race in Virginia appears to have gone to Webb the Democrat by a slim margin, subject to recount.”
“The king is dead! Long live the king!”
“After 16 years, a big enemy of the environment has been removed from Congress, Republican Representative Charles Taylor of western North Carolina
replaced by a former NFL quarterback, Heath Shuler.”
“A Democrat took my districts seat in the house as well. I don't think that's ever happened since I've been on this earth for 28 years.”
“I could be the "Macacan" vote that put Webb over on Allen in Virginia.”
Hooray! We\'re saved!!!
“No more poverty! No more sickness or death! No more starvation! (which, the last time I checked, also leads to death) No more of the man trying to keep me down---just like the last time the D had control of Congress!!! Alleged-Supreme-Being-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named bless us everyone!!!
(Wake up kids. They're all the same.)”
“Lol, Noncon that's the best fuego post I've read in forever.”
“Come on Noncon, the Republocrat's are so much better.

I don't know if we can compare the Dems of that time, to the Dems of today. Even the Republicans have a higher influx of younger people. Plus, times are a little different then they were back then and make up of the US population is more diverse.
One of the biggest issues that crossed the whole country with voters was corruption. The FBI is currently over loaded with public corruption cases.
The Democrats have a real chance to do something. Hopefully, they won't #&%!$ it up too bad.”
“Hopefully, they won't #&%!$ it up too bad.”
We can always vote them out if they do.”
“Go DC Satehood!”
“"We can always vote them out if they do."
That's one of the things I love most about this country.”
“Kiss your guns goodbye!
j/k - looks like gridlock for the next couple years.”
“The dems have the golden opportunity here to show us what they can do. They have not shown what their plans are the fact that they aren't Bush but I hope the moderates take back their party and get some things done. OK, now the reality of it all. What they WILL do is spend the next 2 years locking up congress trying to impeach Bush any way possible. They will raise minimum wage and taxes thus wrecking a strong economy. At the end of the next two years I am wrong about this I will be the first to say so.”
“Ha ha, they said Clinton would take away your guns!
Maybe if you had a girlfriend to kiss you wouldn't have to kiss your guns.
Does the gun oil burn your pecker?”
“Uh, Mark, you ever hear of the Clinton AWB?
BTW, using Hoppes #9 as aftershave drives the women wild!”
Average White Band?
Did Willy Jeff take your guns away??”
“LOL...I was watching Rham Emanuel on the news....they still have NO plan. The fun will be watching as nancy tries to balance the views of the WILD LIBERAL LEFT with the threat of a repeat of 1992. Imagine if they get in there, we pull out of Iraq, give amnesty to all aliens, and begin silly impeachment plans. (LOL...you do know the SENATE does the impeaching and um...Dems are nowhere near a 60% majority there). I hope the Dems to go with some of their hilarious ultra liberal plans.
Hopefully the Republicans can get rid of the last of the blue bloods, send Denny and Trent and Dr. Frist back to the bottom of the fold. Then restart the issues they won with. Smaller government control, responsible government, national security are issues that will resonate with the electorate.
If that happens this will be a repeat of 1992...except this time the conservatives will be able to bring a huge majority to the leadership.”
“Mutt - I've found that Remclean works even better.
Nigal - Unfortunately I think you're right on this one.”
“replaced by a former NFL quarterback, Heath Shuler.”
Oh good Lord, a Vol in the House. It's the end of the world.”
“LOL at dayhiker!”
“Voters in Vermont made Rep. Bernie Sanders, an independent, the winner in a Senate race, succeeding retiring Sen. James Jeffords. Brooklyn-born with an accent to match, Sanders is an avowed Socialist who will side with Democrats when he is sworn into office in January.
Was there ever any doubt?”
“Cats and dogs living together
Schit of biblical proportions.....”
“You're gonna Cry, Cry, Cry and you'll cry alone
When everyone's forgotten and you're left on your own
You're gonna Cry, Cry, Cry”
“Burns is out.”

When David Duke ran for Governor, wasn't he a republican?”
“D.C. statehood and impeachment hearings?!
Two stupid ideas that are sure to alienate enough people to waste this Democratic takeover. This wasn't exactly a sweep of liberals. Casey and Webb as liberals? The message here is that people want to find the middle ground and work together to solve problems like Iraq and health care.
Find consensus and build. Don't divide.
Don't give these crackers ammo with that moronic DC statehood crap. While Bush does seem to have lied, the fight over impeachment would waste this opportunity.”
“Consensus is a pipe dream drummed up by meeting facilitators.”
“So good it needed posting twice
Baby Jesus Sad as Democrats Take the House
November 7, 2006, Heaven
The Baby Jesus was reduced to tears as early polls and projections gave the Democrats a majority in the House of Representatives. "Doesn't America love me and Father?" said the distraught son of God.
Results for control of the senate are still not certain but there is some hope that the infant Jesus will take some joy in his father's Party maintaining control there. "Even if we do maintain a majority in the Senate, it still won't be the same without Rick Santorum. He was such a righteous ass, but the kind of ass you want on your side - definately."
Due to the lateness of the hour, The Baby Satan was unavailable for comment. "It's a school night," his step-father Satan explained.###
Rick Santorum Raptured
In Pennsylvania's Senate race, incumbent Rick Santourum was leading by a 98% margin when all of the sudden, he was raptured by God and sent to Heaven. Unfortunately for America, Democratic challenger Bob Casey won by default. The terrorists are celebrating, by eating cake.
“Hey, why aren't the liberals crying "Voter Fraud" like they have in the last 3 elections?”
Here ya go Mutt!
“Election Day complaints spur FBI probes in at least 2 states
Wednesday, November 08, 2006
Election Day was tainted by complaints of dirty tricks that led to FBI investigations in at least two states, with some voters reporting intimidating phone calls, misleading sample ballots and even an armed man outside a polling place.
In Virginia, the FBI was looking at complaints of an apparently orchestrated series of phone calls in the hard-fought U.S. Senate race between Republican George Allen and Democrat Jim Webb. Some voters reported they got calls telling them to stay home on Election Day or face criminal charges.
The liberal voter group MoveOn offered a $250,000 reward for information leading to a conviction for voter interference, which is a federal crime.
In Indiana, the FBI was investigating allegations that a Democratic volunteer at a polling site in the college town of Bloomington was found with absentee ballots after counting had begun.
Other states reported similar problems.
In Arizona, three men, one of them armed, stopped Hispanic voters and questioned them outside a Tucson polling place, according to voting monitors for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, which photographed the incidents and reported them to the FBI.
In Maryland, sample ballots suggesting Republican Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich and Senate candidate Michael Steele were Democrats were handed out by people bused in from out of state. Democrats outnumber Republicans in Maryland by nearly 2-to-1.
An Ehrlich spokeswoman said the fliers were meant to show the candidates had the support of some state Democrats. They were paid for by the campaigns of Ehrlich, Steel and the GOP. Some of the fliers include pictures of Ehrlich with Democrat Kweisi Mfume, a former NAACP president.
Across the country, Democrats accused Republicans of sponsoring automated "robo-calls" that have infuriated voters. The recorded calls, which reached a fever pitch in the days leading up to the election, automatically dial and re-redial, promoting or trashing a candidate.
Republicans have denied responsibility. Some voters have reported being awakened in the middle of the night by such calls, and said that after they hung up, the phone rang again. Federal rules bar election phone solicitations after 9 p.m.
In some states, the effort to improve the integrity of the election system got off to a shaky start. Long lines formed, prompting appeals to judges to keep the polls open longer.
In Denver, up to 300 people stood outside some polling sites. One was Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill Ritter, who waited an hour and 40 minutes.
"It's actually heartening," he said. It means people "understand the process is important enough to be patient and wait in line." Nonetheless, Democratic Party officials asked a judge to extend poll hours because of the delays.
A long ballot and new machines caused the disruptions, according to Colorado secretary of state spokeswoman Lisa Doran. "Despite the training, some of the election judges are intimidated by the machines," she said.
Computer glitches and poll workers' unfamiliarity with the new equipment were also blamed for long lines in such states as Tennessee, South Carolina and Illinois.”
“Great point Mutt.”
Why did this happen?
“How did this happen how did the Republicans lose control of the two houses of congress?
I am the reason it happened. I am a lifelong Conservative Republican and I am still registered as such. I however have felt betrayed by the party leadership since Bush took office and his so called agenda was carried forward by his pocket members of congress. Yesterday for me was one of the most important days of my life. Yesterday I felt I had a chance to get my party back from the radical right wing. I had to support the democrats to accomplish that. If my party does not return and the democrats seem better suited to lead then I may join them as well.”
“Luckily I remember the last major death of the Republican Party. Jack Ford won the nomination and then lost to JIMUH....how'd that end up working for the libbies?
Then there was 1992, the end of the Republicans....how'd that go?
LOL live it up January you better get ready to lead.”
“welcome bateauxdriver! Let's keep em' honest together”
“Wow! The most sensible post by a Republican today! I wish more people in your party had that attitude...”
“Hey, maybe they could appoint Hillary as speaker of the senate!”
“Vman - Who is crying exactly?”
“V can't match color or warp type.”
““Luckily I remember the last major death of the Republican Party. Jack Ford won the nomination and then lost to JIMUH....how'd that end up working for the libbies?
Who is this Jack Ford???”
