Mini biography

Ethan Palmer Gunther was born in New York, New York. He is the twin brother of actress Penelope Pam Gunther, who co-starred with Klaus Kinski in Le Femme Enfant, and the son of Ciao! Manhattan co-producer/co-director John Gunther and former Vogue and Elle cover girl and Warhol starlet, Ivy Nicholson. When the twins were born, their mother was active at the Factory and Ethan was filmed as an infant for some of the Warhol films. Ethan moved to Paris, France at age two with his mother, twin sister, and an older brother Sean Bolger. In addition to appearing in the French soap opera, Ethan sang for a rock band called Mandrake, and worked as a child/teen model while in Paris. Ethan began to show signs of schizoprenia in his late teens, and that temporarily ended his acting career, but he continued to pursue a career in music. In 1985, Gunther moved to San Francisco with his mother and twin sister, where they played local clubs with his mother's band. Ethan currently plays drums and sings in the band Stagefright, and was the subject of a 2001 documentary called "Sweetest Compassion - The Ethan Gunther story". That is when he met Buddha Bear. The discussed making a movie together but Ethan thought nothing would ever come of it. He has another older brother, the Viscount Darius DePoleon, living in France, and a daughter Edween born in 1989. In 2006 Buddha Bear finally got back in touch with Ethan and asked him to star in his new movie "FYAO Nights the Legand of Ethan Gunther".

NOW THAT"S WHAT I"M TALKIN" ABOUT!

Way to pick up the reigns and run with the concept Pete!

I wonder what biographical info. the other characters will come up with?

However, to continue with Mr. Gunther's Legend..............

What Ethan failed to tell you is his above autobiograghical snippet is this: During Ethan's "Day's of Enlightenment" in 1985 in San Francisco, he had much time in between family gigs, and the occasional love letter sessions to one Ivy Nicholson, to pursue another craft. Afterall, a family cover band of The Alan Parsons Project was not a profitable venture, even during thier hayday in the mid eighties. Ethan, influenced by the go-kart race track across from his apartment building, began his serendipitious short-lived race car driving career, the precursor to his current sled racing empire. It all, like the discovery of the cure for Polio, happened by accident.

An excerpt from the lovely Miss Nicholson's Diary illustrates the glorious day.

"10 October, 1986 - He's fianlly done it, gone mad that is. My American friend Mr. Gunther, Sonoma County Go-Kart Legend was declared unfit for driving after a devestating collision with a haystack on the course. Poor Ethan spent 3 days in the high mountains, trying to figure out his next career move, and practicing sweet APP riffs at the same time. This is precisely when he came up with the mad idea of racing humans tied to a sled contraption whilst pulling thier kit. A truely mad idea, but Ethan feels it's his only option for stardom."

Thus, Mr. Gunther's vision was born. A brilliant combination of motorized vehicle racing, combined with human sled pulling. A vision that ESPN2, at the time, had no idea would generate hundreds of dollars for them in the future. Ethan Gunther went from washed up future NASCAR wannabe and part time tamborinist in his family's Alan Parson's Project cover band to sports pioneer. The Knute Rockne of Human Sled racing, and through the 90's, the Adirondaks would be his canvas.

Fools! A "Legand" is the furry gator style clothing items worn on the legs. These were popular during the "Hair Metal"(I.E. Diamond David Lee Ross) Heyday of the 1980's. Obviously a melencholic reference to the Meteoric rise and fall of Gunthers career.
