JMT06
I'm heading out for my third JMT adventure on July 31st. Any others out there? Going northbound this time. I'll be the one with a dead Norwiegian Blue parrot on my pack. Well he's not really dead, he's sleeping.

does he work all night and sleep all day?

We will kind of be in your area in 2 weeks, Pioneer Basin. I don't have my maps in front of me, but I think our current itenerary doesn't cross the JMT. How far along will you be in after 1-2 weeks?

Due to friend that wouldn't change his wedding date, I'm having a shorter trip this year. So I'll be going in at Roads End, Kings Cyn., and out at Tuolumne. I should be hoofing it out of Evolution Valley on my way to Muir Trail Ranch on the 5th or 6th of Aug.
From there it's bath time in a hot spring(across the river) then on to a fishing stop at Marie Lake(Golden Trout). Next stop is VVR around the 7th or 8th. I hope to pick up enough time to spend at least 1/2 a day at Marie Lake. One of my favorite places. Not as pretty as Rae Lakes but a lot less crowded.
I'll be the old fart with two young ladies and a parrot.

JMT hike this summer
Bill: We may pass each other. I'm finishing the trail (at least I hope to), picking up at florence Lake on Sept.1 and out at whitney sometime. See you in the 'shrubberies'.
Any hikers interested in joining - let me know.

Tigerfish that will probably be somewhere in LeConte Cyn. At least you will be coming downhill. Be carefull coming off Muir Pass, the crossings can be wicked and you can get off route if there is snow, not lost but, you may do some backtracking.
