gotta love this trip posting
“Nah, just a Mel Brooks reference....”
“I was so looking forward to the sequel; Jews in Space, Hitler on Ice, etc.
Why no sequel dammit!”
“Hey Spalpeen. It's a definate. I'd have to loose a limb to to miss that one. Where 'bouts are ya comin from? I have a pretty long drive if anyone is interested in carpooling.”
“Well, I'm headed home. Talk at y'all tomorrow.”
“It's good to be the king.”
“I never did get a definition for "stealth camping".
Can anybody help me out?”
“It's how Trolls camp.”
“Stealth camping is backpacking/camping overnight where you are not allowed to. Or it can be backpacking/camping overnight where a permit is required but not securing a permit.”
“oh I see. It's trespassing.
“Welcome meangreen. Don't worry about the bullets flying around here. Most everyone is harmless, but we do have a few with a few screws loose.”
“Welcome, Meangreen. Another Hoosier?”
“It's not so bad here. Generally with most TTers you have to get them on a pretty bad day to set them off. Unless it's about politics or guns or religion or dogs. All other subjects are usually safe. =)
Stealth camping is sneaking.....camping so that, or where, no one will see you. Doesn't necessarily have to be where camping isn't allowed.”
“Thanks for the welcome. Bessie Lou directed me here from midwesthiker, as I am trying to build some interest in a trip in June (Low Gap Trail). I am a Hoosier & I love my guns, but I'm not here to make any enemy's, just someone to hike with. BTW if anyone ever gets down my way, I day hike Turkey run, or shades, or McCloud once a week, and would love some company there too.
Thanks for the def.
I get the concept, just not the purpose...
“it gets bad when you talk about politicos with guns doing wierd things to dogs”
“just bringing this up for those Trail Days attendees who missed it the first time around.”
