How about farm subsidies? I've seen you make quite a few comments about tax cuts for the rich. What would you say if I told you that most of the $171 BILLION dollars in farm subsidies doesn't go where we think it goes? Most of it will go to Fortune 500 companies and the rich. $4,400 per family is going to pay for celebrity hobby farms. Rockefellers, Ted Turners, Scotty Mothereffing Pippin gets our tax dollars!

A. Neither Romney or Huckabee had much chance at this point to beat McCain, he is just too far ahead.

B. McCain could almost guarantee a victory with the support harnessed by the addition of either of them. McCain still lacks the support of the ultra conservative Republicans that support both Romney and Huckabee, adding either of them as a running mate would help bring them into the fold.

C. If McCain was to win the election in 2008 and 2012 his vice president would almost certainly get the nod from the republicans in 2016.”

“This election year so far has been an interesting scenario for me...

I consider myself a conservative because my core belief system is that I believe in basic things like less government, personal responsibility, etc. I also believe in providing a basic security "safety net" of services so I'm sure some extremist people consider me a socialist whacko :).

So... to me McCain is the "best bet"... he's the "most electable" of the folks running on the Republican ticket. Do I agree 100% with every single comment he's made thoughout his life? OF COURSE NOT... BUT, would I rather see some socialist Dem like Barak or Hillary???? (I am having serious thoughts internaly about whether to (1) leave California and/or (2) leave the U.S. if one of those two is elected! I don't want to pay more & more money to support their socialist causes!

Anyway... my point is... I think you extremist right-wingers are not seeing the "big picture", so what if McCain isn't your ideal candidate in 100% of your views.... would you rather contribute to the destruction of our country by NOT voting for John & then watching someone like Barak get elected?

1) the borders - ideologically, he wants them open

2) too much reliance on gov't (taxes/socialism)
