I'd like to. I hear the new Bond guy is hot.

I do have to agree about the new James Bond.
I am somewhat of a James Bond connoisseur so I feel that I can make a statement about the actor rather accurately. I have read all of the Bond books and naturally seen the movies. This guy is the best yet. This movie is the best movie too.

Strong statements but worth defending. All other Bond films since George Lazenby have been campy and cheesy. The writers dumbed them down, took the easy routes in making strong villains, and went over the top with the “end of the Earth” plots. This movie is way different.

The movie shows the dark side of Bond. It shows pain and bleeding from him. It doesn’t go into insignificant detail about some unbelievable wristwatch or car that picks acorns at 100 mph. It has just enough techno gadgets in the background that it is believable.

I guess that is the word. This bond and the movie is believable.

One of the greatest foot chases ever filmed is in this as well as a heck of a car wreck.

I strongly suggest it if you are a fan of the Bourne trilogy.

Casino Royale is the "Batman Begins" of the Batman series, in more ways than one.

I'm NOT a Bond fan beyond Roger Moore because the Bond movies became so much like all the rest. Massive explosions and unrealistic stunts and just over the top effects. This new one however looks a bit better than the rest.

As soon as I can wrangle a chance, I'm going to go see it. This weekend is a little messed up schedule-wise, so I may have to go during the week.

The newest Bond film is great...I just don't like the actor....he's too rough-edged...and he looks old (I believe he's only 38 now)....imagine how he'll look in the next J.B film, let's say six years from now.....

Most realistic J.B film yet....no space age gadgets.

stanlee - After the movie I asked my wife how old she thought he was. She said 45. I told her he was 38 (same age as me) and she was like "whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it". hehe

I thought the new Bond flick was head and shoulders above the past 5-6. I'm not a Bond fan, but I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

The Good Shepherd
I saw "The Good Shepherd" and it was a disappointment. Too long, boring. Not enough action, not enough mystery, not enough suspense, not enough surprises.

Or maybe I just shouldn't have gone to the late showing.

as an english major and someone who is interested in language and linguistics, as well as psychology, nell started out as a fascinating mystery. the ending could have been better. i.e., less syrupy and sentimental, but overall a good movie and one of jodie fosters better performances

Went to see Happy Feet with the whole family yesterday. First time I've been in a movie theater in about 2 years (and at $50 for 4 matinee tix, 2 popcorns, 3 drinks and 1 box of candy, it will be at least 2 more years).

Good overall, not something I would intentionally watch again but wouldn't mind it if I had to. Good environmental message that comes through in the last quarter.

yes that's the one CB...

I guess on the DVD you can choose his or her story. I started watching his, I might try watching hers. I haven't rented movies in forever, but picked up 4 earlier this week. The one I really want to watch is the second Ice Age movie.

My son came down to visit me for the first time in about a year (he turned 16 and discovered cars and women). He said he wanted to go to see a movie, so off we went. Of course he wanted to see Rocky. Gee, I was sitting there in the middle of the movie when it dawned on me I was his age when the first one came out.

Did you notice there was a lot of background imagery in Children of Men Crash? When he went to see his cousin to get transit papers and they were standing in front of the window the scene outside was a clear reference to Pink Floyd's Animals album cover...

And then when they were pulling into Bexton Refugee Camp there was a prisoner standing in a cell like this...
