Yes, lips, she is a very beautiful woman for sure. last edited: 12/23/05 12:46:49 PM” 12:40:23 PM 12/23/05 “ ”12:49:51 PM 12/23/05 “This movie isn't so current anymore but it's still in theaters, "Capote". It was an excellent movie. It gives insight into Capote himself and how he got his story, plus the story he was after. The story makes you question Capote's ethics, and there is a conclusion you will find yourself coming to either way. last edited: 1/02/06 5:15:08 PM” 5:12:58 PM 1/02/06 “saw Narnia today. it's very good for a "kids" movie. the boys loved it.” 6:16:14 PM 1/02/06 “i try to never draw conclusions about real-life persons based on movies about them” 6:20:07 PM 1/02/06 “We saw "keep the river to your right". Its an independent documentary that starts off really well but falls flat halhway through. IMO it became less about the original story and more about the writers sexual life, not really what I had hoped for. Saw the new "charlie and the chocolate factory" . I liked it more than the original. We are still finishing " what the bleep do we know". Quantum physics, meets comedy and some other stuff rolled into a fun flick.” 6:34:55 PM 1/02/06 “"what the bleep" is on my netflix list” 6:49:44 PM 1/02/06 “you'll like it CB.” 6:52:01 PM 1/02/06 “Lipstick, I would love to see "Capote". Only, in this podunk part of the country that I dwell within will not screen a movie of any quality for any length of time, (or not at all in this case). It is ironic, as Capote lived about 30 miles from here and still has relatives in the area. Many believe, (myself included), that he actually ghosted "To kill a Mockingbird". I understand there is a "Harper Lee" in the film. Guess I will have to wait for the dvd.” 5:29:36 AM 1/03/06 “When you get done watching all those serious movies, go see "Fun With Dick and Jane" for a laugh.” 6:47:59 AM 1/03/06 “i saw capote this week end too...great great film...i love philip seymour hauffman(sp) and he did a great job in this...i thought the beginning was a little slow and it had your typical indie film feel but that just made the acting stand out that much more” 6:54:01 AM 1/03/06 “Philip Seymour Hoffman is an undiscovered gem. He is one of the best actors in Hollywierd.” 7:26:34 AM 1/03/06 “i just sharted” 7:33:49 AM 1/03/06 “Philip Seymour Hoffman was also in "The Talented Mr. Ripley" w/Matt Damon and Robert Di Nero flick where he played his gay next door neighbor and was great in both roles along with his dead on Capote role. steppenwolf, the film "Capote" showed him having a male companion who was writing "To Kill A Mockingbird" as Capote was researching and writing "In Cold Blood" which the movie was based on. It didn't show that Capote influenced his male companion's writing, not to say that it can't be true that he possibly helped write the book. The film made Capote seem too occupied to be with his companion to help him, and when the man finished "To Kill A Mockingbird" he announced it to Capote and went to Spain by himself for part of the writing of the book where Capote finally joined him at one point. last edited: 1/03/06 2:14:21 PM” 2:06:29 PM 1/03/06 “uuuhhh, lipstick...his female friend harper lee, played by catherine keener, is the one who wrote to kill a mockingbird "Accompanying him is a friend from his Alabama childhood: Harper Lee (Catherine Keener), who within a few months will win a Pulitzer Prize and achieve fame of her own as the author of To Kill a Mockingbird. from http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1151898-capote/about.php?nopop=1” 2:17:20 PM 1/03/06 “thrifty, I was confused, as you can tell by seeing people congratulate his female friend, Harper Lee on her book and confused it with his companion's writing of his book which was finished, but I don't know if it was published now that I realize he was not the one who wrote "To Kill A Mockingbird" which I thought was written by a male person. Both "friends" seem to finish their book at similar times, so I confused the both of them and their writings. Now that I see "To Kill A Mockingbird" was written by his female friend, he did spend most of his time with her when writing and researching his book when she was also writing hers according to the movie.” 2:22:55 PM 1/03/06 “LOL, and i wasn't throwing it in your face by the way, hope you didn't think that...you had me scratching my head cause i usualy forget things about a movie 10 minutes after i watched it last edited: 1/03/06 2:27:51 PM” 2:27:07 PM 1/03/06 “Haha, I was scratching my head too. It should be understood that the character, Dill, in Mockingbird, was Capote. He and Harper Lee were childhood friends. Harper Lee has never written another word for publication, which makes her rather suspect.” 4:11:26 PM 1/03/06 “thrifty, no, I didn't think you were being difficult in any way, just truthful, and I'm glad you corrected me, because I was confused whether it was her or his friend writing To Kill A Mockingbird. steppenwolf, I never read the book and did not realize that Dill is Capote!!! Yes, it does look very suspicious that Harper Lee didn't write another book! Maybe Capote's ego got the best of him for helping her and her booking turning out to be so well recieved (if it was back then as it is now).” 5:52:59 PM 1/05/06 “In other words, he helped her once, but then that was it, and after that, she couldn't write a book on her own. There are ghost writers that help non-writers to their autobiographies, but I don't think any real writer would want to be a ghost writer on a book that recieved acclaim.” 5:55:02 PM 1/05/06 “I just saw the trailer for X-Men 3. Kelsey Grammer as THe Beast? Yikes!” 2:45:44 PM 1/06/06 “ive read alot of x-men comics, and i think the beast is defineitely frasier crane in blue fur” 9:00:04 AM 1/07/06 “Anyone see that new Woody Allen movie called "Matchstick" or "Matchbox". I think it's about a girl stalking a married man she had an affair with. It looks like a big departure from Woody Allen's other films. The movie looks interesting, even though I would hate to contribute a dollar of my money to Woody after what he did to with marrying his daughter or wife's daughter.” 4:10:36 PM 1/09/06 “anyone seen Munich yet.” 4:12:26 PM 1/09/06 “i was gonna see that but got distracted by copote...which i've been calling chipotle as a joke since i heard about it and when i went to buy my tickets i accidentally asked for tickets to chipotle” 4:15:50 PM 1/09/06 “What's Chipotle about? An over stuffed Mo running around wrapped in foil looking for someone to eat him?” 4:21:30 PM 1/09/06 “My mistake, the Woody Allen movie is called "Match Point". I see it's got good reviews, but it's not playing anywhere that I can find.” 5:13:18 PM 1/09/06 “Did you ever see Matchstick Men? Sorry, that shopuld be on the dvd thread.” 6:06:04 PM 1/09/06 “Nigal, yes I did. I can't hardly remember it. I think it was a movie meant for dvd.” 6:07:18 PM 1/09/06 Dynasty “Looks pretty intense. White water kayaking. I'd be interested to hear what any of you have think of it. It's coming in February. http://www.dynastythemovie.com/trailer.htm” 8:12:01 PM 1/09/06 “Took my daughter to see "Hoodwinked" yesterday. We enjoyed it. Great movie for kids and adults. It was kind of like Shreck on a budget. Lots of surprises.” 1:24:13 AM 1/18/06 “LOL. My friends left after 10 minutes. last edited: 1/18/06 5:21:37 AM” 5:17:09 AM 1/18/06 “I should be seeing a preview of Match Point tonight. I got free tickets, so I'm glad I didn't contribute any money to Woody Allen's pocket.” 4:38:56 PM 1/18/06 “I saw hostel the other night. I wasnt impressed. I usually like Quentin Tarantino's stuff, but it was just kinda boring and didnt really have much of a plot IMO.” 4:40:42 PM 1/18/06 “I dont think qt had anything to do with it other than giving it his endorsement” 4:57:59 PM 1/18/06 “Sarge - Your friends should have stayed longer!!! Anyway, I was entertained.” 2:12:31 AM 1/19/06 “I want to take the kids to Hoodwinked too. They love the commercial for it and go around saying, "Dee-na-mee-tay" all the time.” 6:48:21 AM 1/19/06 “Just checking in. I never went to see Match Point, but it's still on my list. It looks very steamy from the movie's clips.” 6:02:58 PM 1/19/06 “If you like action/martial arts movies, consider renting "Unleashed" with Jet Li...sort of a martial arts/chick flick rolled into one. Bob Hoskins and Morgan Freeman star in it. Probably Jet Li's best acting part. Lots of martial arts with some "sensitive stuff" mixed in.” 10:09:18 PM 1/19/06 “Saw End of the Spear this weekend...very good movie...no big name actors to try and steal the show...if you're not interested in this movie because of the religious aspect of it, don't be...there's literally about 1 minute of religious talk...it's more about the tribal people and their relationship with the missionaries...it has a great ending too and after the movie they play some excerpts from an interview they did of the son of the main missionary about when some of the tribesmen came to america” 11:12:20 AM 1/23/06 “the excerpts were from the documentary "Beyond the Gates of Splendor"” 11:23:52 AM 1/23/06 “I was a kid when this happened. I remember it well. I think I'll see the movie. Thanks for the review.” 11:30:19 AM 1/23/06 “i've been watching Tribal Life a lot on the travel channel...if you like that you'll like this, it focuses a lot on the tribe” 11:32:51 AM 1/23/06 “Okay, I finally saw Match Point. The movie is about 2 hours long and it didn't get to the meat of the reason for the movie until 1-1/2 hours into it. I managed to remain entertained, probably because I was dumbfounded as to when the story I went to see would really begin. I think the movie was rated higher than it deserved and could have been cut short by 1/2 hour easily. If the movie was shorter, I would have rated it higher. last edited: 1/23/06 11:44:43 PM” 11:43:30 PM 1/23/06 “saw hoodwinked this weekend...absolutely loved it...maybe my favorite cartoon...my wife and i were the only ones there w/out a kid ;) ...we're used to it...we're almost always the oldest or youngest people at just about everything we go too...i guess we're just not "normal generation Xers" LOL” 3:00:11 PM 1/30/06 Five Buck Club “My wife and I have signed up for a FREE service called the Five Buck Club from Kerasotes Theatres. I'm not sure if Kerasotes is nationwide but I thought I'd pass it on. You can go to any movie that they are showing for $5.00 as long as it's been out for 2 weeks or more. Each week they email you the available movies for the service. http://www.thebackpacker.com/trailtalk/thread/40505,-1,4.php” 7:18:14 AM 2/03/06 “For the first time in about a dozen years, I went to the regular cinema to see a movie...on a beautiful Saturday afternoon no less (see what kids do to ya!) What a major f'n rip off! Uncomfortable seats, always worrying about bothering someone else, missed parts due to trips to the bathroom, the concession stand...whatever possessed me! 'bout the time I realized I'd paid $5.25 for one freakin' drink, I was in a bad mood. After all that, the kids asked when we were buying the dvd... We'll be declining future invites...LOL...” 9:37:33 AM 2/06/06 “Sucker!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)” 9:45:11 AM 2/06/06 “no #&%!$! at least the kids agreed when I said we weren't going again...” 9:47:35 AM 2/06/06 “i'm back and forth on this one...there's no beating seeing a movie on the big screen with that great sound but i seem to always have the tool in front of me that gets a call in the middle of the movie or who talks to the person next to them...it's good to scout out theaters and find the best one...i found one that tells people repeatedly to turn their phones off and to not talk in the movie...they've even started having an actual person come out and talk about this...plus they've got big seats w/ movable arm rests oh, and i'm an idiot...the link from my previous post should have been: http://www.fivebuckclub.net last edited: 2/06/06 9:56:03 AM” 9:51:54 AM 2/06/06 Jump to Page << prev
