It's open, but restricted to 4-wheel drive access. Clingman's Dome road is closed right now because of snow, but hopefully will open up again - but maybe not since it closes for the season Dec. 1st.

CB call me for a backup alternate plan if Clingman's road is still closed for weather. I will do the same route but from Road to Nowhere if I have to, which is near Cherokee/Bryson City!”

Chances are I won't be leaving for the Smokies until early Friday morning (5:00AM) now. It is a 3 hr drive for me plus the time change.
If anyone is going we could meet at the Elkmont Ranger Station at 9:00 AM then decide”
