“I recieved an e-mail inquiry about five of my photographs yesterday...an author wants to put them in her next book and pay me for using them!!!”
“I always assumed you were already published b/c you're so good.
“My only surprise is that nobody has snatched up your work sooner. Your pics are awesome. You are extremely worthy of this!
Let us know what book as soon asa you can release that info, ok?
Congrats and best of luck, WW!”
“Can't top previous comments.”
You're for sure going to have to go on the Ron-Day-View to get more photos!
“Windwalker - Congrats!
I have a feeling we are going to have some good scenery along the way!!!”
“Got a link to some of the pics?”
“You defintely deserve being published. You've got some of the best photographs I've seen in a long time. Have you ever considered selling individual shots to the public?”
“Thanks...I'm pretty excited about this!
Here's a few...
HunterSPhil...Yes I sell photos at local arts and craft fairs....I was at Lodgepole with the Kaweah Artisans last weekend in Sequoia National Park.”
“How about online WW? I don't make it out of the Chicago area all too aften.
I just bought a couple nature photos off a mutual friend named Dave Graff from Naples. They were a lot like yours.

Way to go WW
“Does she want the copyright or just the permission to use them? Also do you know anything about the stock photo houses? I have a friend who is turning into a very good photographer and I thought I'd inquire around for him. And finally, please tell us you're going on the hike.”
“HunterSPhil yes indeed
Sol "one time use" well actually 10,000 time use LOL! The first print run is for 10,000 books. Stock photography is something I still need to investigate...I have heard/read a lot of negative comments about the two largest companies.
Still working on the hike Sol =)

“Fantastic! You earned the honor.”
I have to believe you copied me. These photos I took are more than 10 years ago.”
“Hooray Wind Walker! Your photos are lovely. I really love the bobcat one that my mom thinks is fake (ok, not really, but she liked it that much too. LOL!)”
“That is GREAT news! Just the first step!”
“good job :) its about time!
I thought this thread said "Going to be punished at last" when I first read it. :D”
“Congrats Wind Walker. Well deserved!
(LOL USA!, those were also nice photos, btw)”
“Thanks everyone! I guess you can tell by the pictures that the book is about trees :)
"Life and Death"
Sorry USA....I haven't seen those pix before....but they are nice ones.”
“WindWalker Congratulations! Thats awesome! Your photos are so beautiful..I always love looking at them. That last picture is wonderful
Please let us know when the book is out..that is so exciting!”
“A book about trees, how ironic! How many trees were cut down to publish this book?”
“Looks like there will be two books now! Both coming out in the Spring. I may get a cover too!”
Did we meet in the Backpacker mag forum? Your pics remind me of some excellent shots I saw there.
You do take superb pictures. How long have you been taking pictures? Have you taken schooling, or completely self-taught? Again, very inspiring work.
BTW, you didn't mention when the book will be published and how we can get a copy?
“Sierranomad- Maybe, I visit over there too. Maybe the Half Dome site?
Been taking pix most of my life but finally took some classes at the local College about 1.5 years ago...hoping to fill in the blanks so to speak.
The book won't be out til Spring 06...I only know the title of one of them...
"A Kinship with Trees." not sure how to get one yet.
Thanks to all for your kind words!”
You mention that "I sell photos at local arts and craft fairs....I was at Lodgepole with the Kaweah Artisans last weekend in Sequoia National Park.”
How do you find out about these events?
I've been trying to find appropriate fairs and have only come up with very generic events that would draw people looking for belt buckles, license plate holders, etc.”
