Devil's Path with A VengeanceTrip Report and PicsView Messages“Thats just plain wrong !! You quote twister !” 3:18:44 PM 6/07/05 “heheheheh” 3:32:08 PM 6/07/05 “LMAO! CP - you just got served!!” 3:35:21 PM 6/07/05 “There will be a quote reckoning. Oh yes, a reckoning. Oh yea, BTW I cant do the fathers day NY trip. Wife planned a dinner on saturday.” 3:38:33 PM 6/07/05 “The escarpment trail took me 9hrs with breaks. Maybe 8:15-8:30 without.” 3:48:06 PM 6/07/05 “I want to do the Devils Path sooner than next year. Sometime later this summer, there will be a rematch!” 4:53:29 PM 6/07/05 “Artex... NICE web site !!! I particularly liked your "first solo" hike with the wrong stuff.... Makes us underlings feel some sort of hope in our aspirations of becoming a somewhat "good" backpacker. Although I do know that we all learn a little something from each and every hike. And to the more seasoned veterans that I have hiked with and learned from.... THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge with me!! Trekker” 6:02:51 PM 6/07/05 “here are my pics from the weekend in the Catskills, I am still in the process of weeding some of the pics out. last edited: 6/07/05 6:34:49 PM” 6:33:49 PM 6/07/05 “Very nice pics ENS!!” 6:49:38 PM 6/07/05 “I'll post some waterfall pics from the Delaware River Water Gap soon too!” 7:10:20 PM 6/07/05 “Awesome pics, Earth! The waterfall pics look absolutely amazing. Very cool. Thanks Trekker John. Your compliment is a true honor, I appreciate it. :-)” 7:33:31 PM 6/07/05 “thanks Artex and B. Slacker” 11:36:29 PM 6/07/05 Hey MtnGoat... “I'm not sure there's anything in the Northeast that matches the day hike intensity of things like the Presidential Traverse, or the Great Range, or the Devil's Path, but maybe if you head south to the Mid-Atlantic, they have what's called the 4-state challenge. The idea is to start near the AT at the VA/WV border (on the VA side of course), connect to the AT and hike north thru WV, across the Potomac to MD and end at Penn-Mar State Park in PA 43 miles later.” 12:28:18 AM 6/08/05 “MOO HA HA! I am slowly gaining a high altitude advantage out here. I wonder how much my hiking will improve back East? Maybe I should start training for next year's trip!” 8:07:05 AM 6/08/05 “With all the scrambling on the Devils Path do you think that sometimes the hiking poles slow you down? I just remember having to put them down a lot to scramble up some of the inclines.” 8:12:27 AM 6/08/05 “I was ready to throw mine coming down the cliff on Sugarloaf.” 8:25:46 AM 6/08/05 hiking poles “I definitely needed them with that long, no traction down hill comming off of Plateau Mt. Ps: The uphill on that one sucked too. But there will be a rematch.” 8:55:54 AM 6/08/05 “a rematch indeed” 9:54:11 AM 6/08/05 “sounds like a killer trip... man I need to stop working so much and hit the trail. since alaska, I've been backpacking once and camping twice I think” 10:39:48 AM 6/08/05 “Ice Tea, it sounds like you need to take a weekend or two off to do some hiking.” 11:22:15 AM 6/08/05 “Here are some waterfall pics from the Delaware River Water Gap NRA. Including PA's highest waterfall, Dingmans Falls.” 5:52:39 PM 6/08/05 Dress in Blue???? “I don't remember getting any memo about dressing up in blue. Great, now I have to go do the whole thing over again with a blue shirt. Next year... Love Jamie's Web Site and trip write-up.” 8:32:34 AM 6/12/05 “good to see you Blaine! Congrats on finishing the hike again. You looked like you didn't even break a sweat when you finished.” 8:56:12 AM 6/12/05 << back to Deam Wilderness page
