It's the coolest show on TV! “SPIKE TV, that is. LOL! I got home LATE from a meeting and was going through the TV Guide Channel, looking for appropriate light material. And there it was!!! INVASION IOWA! On Spike TV! I'd heard something about this at some time... Remember how this Iowa town of Riverside pulled a big coup (sp?) and proclaimed itself Capt. Kirk's birthplace? Well, it happened. And the town has a Star Trek Festival each year. Sooooooo William Shatner goes there to film a fake movie with the locals... and film that. OMG! He just asked the local priest if he could break a window at the imposing Catholic Church, cuz some alien entering the church would rock it so bad. LMFAO! The priest was not happy and said he'd ask the congregation, but didn't think it would happen. And there's some farmer saying "warsh." OMG! It is sooooooo IOWA! LMAO! You can still catch it. It's a mini series. Think of it as "Welcome to lizs' World." Oh yeah, Riverside is just down the road from the University of Iowa. ;-) http://www.spiketv.com/shows/series/index.jhtml?seriesID=13720&refID=invasioniowa” 10:52:16 PM 3/29/05 “LMFAO... heard out of the mouth of the "warsh" guy... upon having to pull "Tiny," the stunt double across the floor: "It's like trying to pull a calf." ROTFFLMAO!! The Shatner people say, Ummm, that's not a comparison we hear often. last edited: 3/29/05 10:58:48 PM” 10:57:38 PM 3/29/05 HEY!!! “Let's get this show some publicity!!! :-)” 8:34:36 AM 3/30/05 “I thought this thread was about Bush visiting Iowa today to push his Social Security plan! "So Iowa", LOL! My Grandmother used to say "Warsh", too!” 8:42:48 AM 3/30/05 “Riverside Iowa is 20 min from my House. I've driven through there before and seen their little Star Ship Enterprise replica. Oh and Liz see you Friday at Yellow River.” 9:13:18 AM 3/30/05 Rolling eyes now! “Those Iowa folks have been doing something with all that corn besides popping it. Can we say sour mash corn likker?” 7:51:24 PM 3/30/05 “I say "warsh." My family loves to tease me about it, but I can't even hear myself say it. I grew up in Kansas City with country cousins to the north near Eagleville.” 11:00:15 PM 3/30/05
