Sarge - how many points in one debate can you miss - he insulted you, not your wife, #&%!$wit.

See the trouble is that if you mess up this 'invasion' of Phaed, your credibility [ha] will be shot (diplomatic options), as will your ability to carry out your 'promises' on others (military options).

As for your wife, I don't want to meet her in person. I'm happily married. She'll need to find joy elsewhere. ~ Phaedrus

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A leading conservative proponent of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq now says dysfunction within the Bush administration has turned U.S. policy there into a disaster.

Richard Perle, who chaired a committee of Pentagon policy advisers early in the Bush administration, said had he seen at the start of the war in 2003 where it would go, he probably would not have advocated an invasion to depose Saddam Hussein. Perle was an assistant secretary of defense under President Reagan.

BAGHDAD (AFP) - The Iraqi capital has been locked down by an indefinite curfew after more than 200 people were killed by a wave of bombings in a Shiite slum in by far the deadliest attack since the war in 2003.

The bloodshed continued when a triple bomb attack in the northern town of Tal Afar killed 11 people and wounded another 42.
[...]
A hospital source said the toll from four car bombs that tore through the Shiite bastion had risen to 202 dead and 256 wounded, adding that the figure was expected to rise as many of the wounded were in critical condition.

[...]
According to the police, the Sadr City assault began when a suicide car bomber blew himself up at about 3:15 p.m. at a checkpoint leading into the neighborhood. That blast was followed in quick succession by that of two other suicide car bombers and two unattended car bombs, which exploded at different locations along a main avenue crowded with commuters and shoppers, witnesses said. At least one mortar shell exploded in the neighborhood, the police said, and a sixth car bomb was discovered and defused.

The car bombings destroyed dozens of other vehicles, scattered charred and mangled bodies and sent flames and thick pillars of smoke into the air. Frenzied crowds clawed through the wreckage, pulling bloodied bodies from cars and minibuses and moving them out in wooden carts.
[...]
Fighting flared at the Health Ministry earlier Thursday. The attack on the ministry headquarters began around midday when three mortar shells hit the main building, Lt. Ali Muhsin of the Iraqi Police told The Associated Press. Gunmen positioned on the upper floors of surrounding buildings then opened fire on the main building, pinning down hundreds of workers inside, ministry officials said. Ministry security guards with assault rifles fired back and managed to keep the insurgents at bay until Iraqi and American troops responded two hours later, the officials said.

8 more US soldiers are dead today, thanks to Bush, the republicans who backed him, and the voters who re-elected Bush to a 2nd term.

Everything this guy has touched has been a failure of epic proportions. Put a stop to it NOW!

I jsut saw where there is a study coming out that will show Illegals (WETBACKS) kill more Americans everyday than are dying in Iraq/Afghanistan etc...but I keep hearing the crickets chirping with the HEROIC Defeatocrat party looks at this.....oh yeah...potential voters...even felons deserve their support.

Twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens, according to statistics released by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa. If those numbers are correct, it translates to 4,380 Americans murdered annually by illegal aliens. That's 21,900 since Sept. 11, 2001.

Total U.S. troop deaths in Iraq as of last week were reported at 2,863. Total U.S. troop deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan during the five years of the Afghan campaign are currently at 289, according to the Department of Defense.

nice hero you picked there cowboy...

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) went on the House floor on Tuesday to discuss a fence that he “designed” for the southern border. (King constructed a model of the fence as he was speaking.) King’s design features a wire electrified “with the kind of current that would not kill somebody.” King noted that “we do this with livestock all the time.”

he sounds like hes sure done the research!!

Robin Lustig, in an interview on the BBC's programme 'The World Tonight' on BBC Radio 4, said to King that, in his view, "the US economy simply couldn't function without" the presence of illegal immigrants. King said that he rejected that attitude "categorically". He said "they", referring to the 77.5 million over-16 year-olds in the United States who are not part of the workforce "could be put to work and we could invent machines to replace the rest."
