He hasn't posted and he hasn't responded to email in two days. I'll call him tomorrow and say "hey".

He sent me some email the other day. I think he may just be taking a TT break.

He's probably holed up with his new girlfriend. I hear this one's in the cradle. :-)

Hopefully Ewker is just taking time to enjoy his family and friends for the holiday.

Oh yeah, I heard about his first stay-over "date" with her. He seemed extremely grateful that all she wanted to do was sleep, lol! ;)

Hmmmm... Maybe they're living together, ala Tom Cruise style. >8-O

I haven't perused the Ornament thread lately. Anyone heard if he got what I sent? (course, if I sent him the new chickie poo, I guess he got the package, huh?? LMAO!)

whew, I am here. It has been a busy 2 weeks at work. Year end is a busy time for us. Everyone seems to think we are Burger King and wants it their way...lol
It is finally slowing down except for the occasional company that wants something shipped out today.

Thank goodness this is my last day at work until Jan 3.

I owe you a gear review on the golite odyssey pack. Hope all is well in your world!

So far I've loved the balance and ability to carry big loads. Even though it weighs only 3 lbs it carrys like my 6+ lb gregory.

I super adore the 2 massive hip belt pockets. You could put trail snacks and sunscreen in one and a small camera would fit in the other. Awesome. The side pockets are situated so that you can easily reach back and retrieve stuff without taking off the pack. Good design. I carried all of my regular winter gear plus strapped on crampons, ice axe and snowshoes and was able to stabilize all of that hanging stuff with the available outside rigging and no extra strappage. 5000 cu inches (insert Tim Allen grunts here)

Only one thing I think needs to be re-thought. Attaching the lid is a challenge. The back side utilizes normal cinch down clips but the side that hugs your body is attached with a strap that doesn't really fit through the intended slide. You could cut the strap by about an inch and melt it with a lighter and it would fit. But you shouldn't have to.

Great pack, love it.

Dhutch, thanks for the review on the pack. Glad to see Golite branching out on some of their gear.
I ended up buying the Osprey Atmos 65 since I didn't find anyone local who carried the Golite packs. I used the Osprey on a week long trip...trip report coming soon

Hey Coop, it was a surprise wasn't it. It was good to see you again.

Did you guys keep going all the way to Damascus that day or stay along the road where the campsites were. We hiked all the way into town.

We ended up heading all the way in. We paused for a bit at 1 trail side site, but decided on just walking the rest of the way. Damascus is a neat trailside town.

Nowslimmer! Hope all is well with you.
