“I just had lunch (pizza and wine) and several former students showed up. One is living in Melbourne, Australia and has about 80% of her body tattooed (80% was showing). Her husband went back yesterday and she's staying for another two weeks. Ya know? Getting hugged and slapped on the back about a dozen times every time I go into a village means that my life has some meaning.

It means that whatever else I've lived through, I'm one of the luckiest people in the world.

I'll have a Newcastle and a double malt - make it Té Bheag.

“I have about one glass of johnny walker gold left. I can't bring myself to finish that bottle.”

“ooh, not bad. A friend bought me a bottle of that about a year ago... it took me a long time to get to that last glass”

“I just popped in after finishing the repairs/replacement of my soffits and fascias (sp?). I'll start scraping to-morrow, then painting. Got a contracter to install new front and back doors and a new window for the back of the house. He'll be available come September (I know where he lives).

We'll start with a Newcastle (full pint, of course) and I'll have an Islay malt (Laphroaig?), relax and watch you kids flirt (oh to be young again).”
