I'm at my ex's for her 60th birthday. I drove up (to Ottawa - 2 hrs) with my son. I'm pcking up my daughter at the aeroport at 17:45.

It's a big surpirse and John (my husband-in-law) doesn't know if there will be 5 or a hundred in an hour or so. the catering ladies are here - theyy are Iranian and there are kebabs, dolmas galore.

I'll have a stiff whisky.

I s'pose Gremlin might still be abed after the party.

Speakin' of "stiff whiskey", at the Freeze Your Ass Off Trip 2003(where I met Le Gremlin) my Irish Whiskey was stiffening in the -10 F temperatures.

Pilsen Gold Proof Item # 016666

You know beer is popular when a coin that pays tribute to the birthplace of modern beer making completely sells out BEFORE it is even struck! Truth is stranger than fiction in this case because when the Czech Republic decided to include a .999 pure gold Proof in its Heritage Sites series that commemorated the Pilsen Brewery, all 10,800 legal-tender coins were immediately spoken for before the planchets even got warmed up. Established in 1307, the Pilsen Brewery is famous for developing the now-familiar process of brewing beer that creates a golden beverage with a frosty white head. Thanks to our connections in the European coin markets, the New York Mint managed to secure TEN of these captivating coins exclusively for our customers and we’re offering them on a first-come, first-served basis.
