Nowslimmer, I made a big boo boo. First of all, it took me a couple days more than I planned to get to the post office. I made it to the post office today. Then I went to work. Then when I went back to my car, I noticed something in the back seat...a small box. I gasped when I opened it up. Inside was your ornaments!!!!!!! So the box I mailed to you today was actually the ornament that I bought for Jon. I am so embarrassed. It's a beautiful red heart that says, "I love you."

Tomorrow I am going back to the post office to ship out your ornaments. Please keep the "wrong" ornament and know that I love you in the most platonic way. ;)”

Actually, it sounds like a Valentine's Day gift. However, you won't be the first TT girl to express your love for me. But you'll be the first to express it without ever having met me. (I'm giving serious consideration to one who whispered those three little words to me during one of the TT hikes this year.) TT girls are the greatest!

You reminded me of a young girlfriend here in Melbourne a few years ago. After talking and agreeing on a weekend trip together, she declared that our relationship was a nice, platonic one. I wondered as I finished wiping off my face and looked at all the lipstick that came off on my handkerchief. I told people that it must have been platonic lipstick!
