I have Friday off after Thanksgiving, and am planning on heading back to the Sierra for a couple days. Not sure where yet, probably general Tahoe / Desolation Wilderness area, but am also looking at some spots off I-80. Same general idea as the trip a couple weeks ago... easy hike in, set up a base camp & maybe do a day-hike from there. I want to give my sled a workout since I've made some modifications & wanna make sure it's OK.

Anyone wants to join in, you're more than welcome!

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys, it'll be nice to have family around (and then escape ala JVZ!)

I'll carve a turkey in the snow & have some white meat! HAHAHAAHA I kill me sometimes!

Wanderer - still going up? Any idea where? I might be up for meeting you somewhere on Friday. I don't want to overnight but I would love to take my dogs up for a frolic in the snow. We couldn't go anywhere with too deep of snow because Ticha has short legs. I realize that that makes snowshoeing less fun but maybe we can think of something that meets both of our interersts. If not, I might just go up to Loon Lake.

Hi ya' Pep, I believe I'm still going, I just sent you an email with some info! It would be great to watch your doggies play in the snow, my best friend is a little over 12 years old & has pretty bad arthritis, so I can't even take him on long walks anymore, let alone on the trail! I can live vicariously watching your dogs play!

Did you guys go? 'Cause if you did, you got snow.

Unfortunately I didn't get wanderer's message until today so I didn't realize he was going up for sure. If I had known he was going I would have carted the doggies up for the day!

Just did a quick day-hike, lots of family stuff I felt obligated to do. The snow was PRETTY, I love watching it fall.

It would have been even BETTER had there been some dogs frolicking!! Sorry we missed each other, I even stuffed a few dog cookies in my pocket!

Wanderer and Pepper, come up on Sunday, 12/19, for the day trip I proposed in the Loon Lake thread. I bet the doggies could frolic their way to the Peter Grub hut.

Wanderer - I'm so sorry I didn't get up there! Particularly since you had cookies (my girls never get enough cookies).

I might be up for the 19th but I am thinking that I might have to go out next weekend so the snow won't be too deep.
