I was home yesterday but was coming down w/ a cold/fle. I layed down to take a quick nap, just before 2pm and woke up more than three hours later. Oops.

When I was a beginner years ago, I used to talk to a mirror when I was on the air. I also smiled all the time. You would be surprised how different you can come across when doing that.

Especially the smiling part. Try smiling and say something and then say it without the smile. Listen to the difference...”

“Well, themes have become more and more common in my show planning. Wish I had more time to put into it sometimes. A lot of the commercial gigs I had were "show up and play the hits or what's programmed." That's cool, but sometimes I miss the old school radio, which is what I am doing here. It's not a money making art anymiore, but public radio and eclectic formats like ours enable it to live on a little. Bottom line: it's fun!”
