“..ok...so I go to the store to pick up my prescriptions and pay for them at the back of the store....but I need some other items, so I get them & go to the front checkout...I stand for a few minutes and the sales lady is helping someone...she looks up & about 5 people are at the register ready to check out...
...so she tells the woman she is helping, that she would return in a moment... and walks up to the register and starts to ring up my items...the lady she was helping walks up next to me at the counter, and says " are you going to checkk out all these folks before you finish helping me?"
...the clerk says "yes, it is our policy."
...the young woman says..."I was here first & I need to go...my baby is in the car"
...and as she walked away she stopped and asked for the managers name ...the clerk told her & said she was not here...
...and as she walked away I said "Isn't it against the law to leave children in the car?"

....I wish I would have added ( I always think of good stuff later on)...and I saw a police car drive up earlier"”

“It took me a quick readover to understand the clerk wasn't at the register and was away helping answer a baby mama's questions, then the clerk left to return to the register to check out the long line of people that wanted to pay for something.

Is that right? What a jerk.

“..ok...so I am on my way home from work today & as I approached the Snow Road intersection, a motorcycle cop was directing traffic...and waved me on....up ahead I saw more blue flashing lights...what could it be...a wreck?...
...no...a police escort...who could be so important heading toward Mobile, Alabama with a police escort???
...maybe a movie star...maybe a recording artist....maybe a politician...
...it HAD to be someone important to have such a grand arrival....
...it was getting closer...

....as I got closer I held my breath with excitement...
...and read on the side of the truck...

“SeaWorld has an Anheiser Busch hospitality center where the Clydsdales stay,( and they give free beer!). You can get your picture taken with a horse. They are beautiful.



As a side note..A/B is getting ready to sell off all their "entertainment" venues. Enjoy Seaworld and Busch Gardens while you can!”

“so...I am sending a package to my son in Boston for Christmas...I get it all taped shut, and realize I forgot to put the nice warm throw I bought in the package....SOOOO...I open it and take out the long underwear I bought him to adjust everything in the package, and tape it shut...and I look over and there are the long underwear ...fudge...SOOOO...I open it up and put the long underwear in and tape it shut AGAIN...
I also sent him a little tree and decorations, wool socks, gloves, and two cool t shirts I found for him...(one is a santa suit and says *does this shirt make me look fat?* and one that says *protect your nuts*”

ya know I never finished the story...I went back to CVS a few days later and saw that same clerk...we talked about that incident and she told me that woman called the manager later twice and complained about the clerk...and the clerk got into trouble....SO...I asked to talk to the manager....I told her what happened and that I was the one who made the comment about it being against the law to leave your kids in the car and that the clerk was very polite to that woman....that the woman had been rude to the clerk....she said she owed her clerk an apology...and did so....wooo hooo!!!”

Great atmosphere, amazing oysters and seafood (very fresh) lots of interesting history.Oldest restaurant in the US. The bldg was constructed in about 1742.

I also think its worth to walk Lexington green and the Concord battlefield area. Very moving history.
