Moving to Loveland, CO!
“Well, on November 17 we will officially be residents of Loveland, Colorado!
The last day of my internship with the National Park Service ends on November 5 and the Mrs. last day with the school district is November 12.
Can't wait!!! This has been many years in the making...ever since I first visited Colorado 9 years ago I knew I would love to live there.
So anybody coming to visit??? Anybody want to backpack in Colorado....I think there is a couple of trails there.”
“good luck with moving! it's a pain in the arse, but worth it in the end.”
“Thanks...all the stuff is in storage we just have to load it in the truck and drive.
This will be the fourth time we have moved in the past 6 years.”
“ughhhh... I hate moving. Sonds cool though. That close to the rockies!!!”
“yer in for a rocky mtn high
can I come and visit???”
Can I camp in your front lawn?
“Best of luck to you and the Mrs. in CO.”
“Congrats! Where is Loveland?”
“so thats it? *sigh*
you and the mrs will be missed.
i did want to try to get one more hike in with you both before you move!
I just wanted to thank you for being a friend and giving great advice on many many subjects! you deserve the very best and I hope you both will be happy!
“Congrats. I'm jealous...”
“Maple, stop sucking up and just ask him for a place to stay.”
“Maple, Thanks...that's nice of you to say!
Harriman Fall Hike?”
So happy for you guys...you doing grad school there?
A toast to Mr & Mrs Awesome A
I hope to do Grad School...
And the Mrs. may become a principal or go for her Drs....”
“Harriman sounds good. any date in mind in Oct?”
“looks like the only time we might have aval is Oct 15th weedend.
so what say you both?”
“Post a trip...I don't see anything on our calendar...
We could get Twinks to go and Monsieur Bobo....”
“or is that Wee-wee?”
“Congrats on following through with your dream!”
“Congrats and good luck w/ the move!! Colorado is a great state!!”
“oh man...you are sooooo lucky. The Loveland area is beautiful. I spent some time out there last summer with the family...didn't have the oppertunity to hike around that much tho. Consider me jealous.
by the way, what grad school are you looking into? I'm going to try to get in to co state once I graduate from this corn field.”
congrats on that upcoming change-o-scenery
“there is quite a group in Colorado who backpack/hike/snowshoe/ski etc together at the Backpacker Magazine forums http://forums.backpacker.com
I don't see too many of them posting here, but they are aware of this site.
Woodswoman posts here (she might go by another name). Anyway, come over there and we can all meet up with you sometime. We get out quite often. I live in Boulder/Estes Park area. Deborah lives in Thornton area, Woodswoman lives in Windsor area. And there are quite a few more scattered in the metropolitan denver area or throughout the state.”
“Great! We will definitely look into the "other" side!”
“Ditto on the congrats and I'm envious. Do us a favor and post a trip for next summer.”
“Very cool adventurist. I just moved away from there. Have fun in my old stomping grounds. Lots to do and see”
“In 2 weeks we will be in Colorado!!!”
“When are you hosting your first TT hike there?
I wish you both the best of luck.”
“Snow season in the southern Rockies is looking very favorable. Don't put snowshoes and skis far away when you pack. If fact, take them in your vehicle!”
“hey im in indiana. pick me up on the way. it sucks here!”
“You wanna ride in the back of the truck?
Yeah...I'm already thinking about what trails I wanna hit the first weekend we are out there! Screw unpacking...it will wait.
There's one trail I want to snowshoe over by Longs Peak.... I already have the maps for that area.
Very Stoked! If I were a Gremlin I might even have to say I was horney?”
“I'm looking at the same area as you are!
I'll be there around the middle of next week - neener, neener, neener!
Longs Peak, Glacier Gorge - the options are endless.”
“Yeah.. Once when we were driving down the Peak to Peak Highway we saw a whole bunch of people going out from the trailhead and wished we were going with them!
Zac... If I build a trip you better fly your butt out!!! Maybe we can have a bakesale to buy your tickets? Or you could just sell some of those mushrooms you couldn't stop eating...”
“Maybe a bake sale with brownies that contain those mushrooms.
... or maybe I could hitch hike to CO.

“anybody that wants to squeeze into my backseat - i'll be headed up I 75 next tuesday! bound for St. Louis and then points west!
“Heeheee, you guys may wanna spend a few days unpacking and getting used to the elevation. It can, and will, kick yer arses! Florida is even flatter than MI!”
“yeah, we're gonna go from 20 feet to 4,700 feet! it'll take a couple of days to catch our breath! lol”
“Good luck! Enjoy your new life!”
“I made it!”
“Congrats, Bison! God willing, I'm next! :)”
