Do you think I will need a tent for this trip...

I'm going to try and fix my tent before this trip...but if I can't I'll probably stay in the Lean-tos????”

“I'll be bringing my 8'x10' tarp. Two people could probably fit under it if we are unable to get a lean-to. If you want to sleep under it with me you're more than welcome to. You will just have to bring some sort of ground sheet, because mine is only just a little bit bigger then my sleeping bag.”

I'm about 95% sure i'm going on this trip...waiting to hear if dlookout made a decision....”

“Where do we want to meet up on Saturday?”

“Personally....since i'm most likely bringing my daughter...I need to modify the itinerary slightly...soooo...for the moment...and this might change...i'm sleeping in my car at the trailhead off of RT 74 on Friday night...then bright and early on Saturday...hike in on the Short Swing Trail to Lily Pad Pond LeanTo.

From there....i'm not sure yet...I might decide to basecamp it there...it all depends on what the little lady wants to do!”

“Ok so I guess we will just meet up with you in the woods then.”

“I'll probably camp at Pharaoh Lake Firday night...”

“oops...that would be Putnam Pond”

“What time do you want to meet on Saturday morning?”

“Are you hiking in from Putnam Pond or are you just going to stay there for the night and then head over to the Pharaoh Lake trailhead near Brant Lake?”

“What time do you think you will be getting up there? I was thinking of maybe heading up Friday night as well and heading in to Pharaoh Lake.”

“Well I was going to just camp at Putnam and meet you over at the trailhead in the morning...

But if I know for sure that you will be there Friday night I'll meet you Friday and hike in with you.”

“I'll let you know after this weekend. The way I see it, there is no since sleeping in my bed when I could be sleeping in the woods.”

“Yup..and I have off Friday so I would rather drive up Friday instead of driving 5 hours Saturday morning.”

“Is Pennsy going?”

“I'll be heading up Friday night. Where would you like to meet?”

“What time?

Ummm...are you LumberZac that has been eaten by the undead?”

“I am the living dead version of lumberzac.

I get out of work at 4:30 and will drive straight up. It will take me between 1.5 to 2 hours to get to the trailhead.”

“Hmmm...you definitely would like to stay in one of the lean-tos on the shore of Pharaoh Lake??

I can get up there much earlier than you...

How about I head in and snag one of the lean-tos?”

“That sounds good. When you get to the outlet of the lake, follow the trail that goes left and crossed the outlet. There are two lean-tos on this side of the lake. I like the location of the point lean-to (which will be the second lean-to you come to), though it may be too big for just us. If you can’t get either of the lean-tos on that side of the lake, there is at least one other lean-to on the other side, but if you do this please leave a note at the outlet, because I don’t really want to be search all over the place for you. I’ll try and get up there as fast as I can.”
