well the week of thanksgiving is out,.. already have a trip scheduled for a 5 nighter.”

“you will only need Crampons. I used a 20 degree sleeping bag and bought wind proof fleece at Target. I need a better jacket and a better stove and also I need to find a way to keep my water from freezing. The Alum Cave trail will be awesome in the winter!!”

“the 5-nighter is a private trip from thanksgiving night until that tuesday. i don't know the dates offhand but i'm thinking thanksgiving is on the 25th (the day after my bday). it's in VA.

“that was right before the skies opened up with the cold hard rain and the soaking ensued. We were all stopping to don our pack covers. The loner on the right was topherac. I don't think he liked us much. He hasn't been back to TT since that trip. I pissed him off by tripping over his tent 10 times at Deep Gap.”
