So...what is everyone cooking up today?
I went to the grocery today.....I do love to grocery shop.....and look at all the fresh fruit and veggies...and the yummy cheeses and breads......( and I went hungry......BIG mistake).....so then I came home and got to work in the kitchen..I made a beautiful mixed fresh fruit salad with blueberries, Alabama grown peaches, muskmellon ( cantalope for you southerners..) strawberries, kiwi, and pineapple tidbits ( in it's own juice to keep fruit pretty....)
AND...a wonderful pasta salad with tons of assorted veggies including red bell peppers....in a nice Balsmic vinegrette
AND a yummy salad of black beans, kidney beans, and shoepeg corn...
Later I am making a beautiful stromboli with pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, and assorted cheeses......

YUMMY!!!

I'm done for the day. We had some beautiful T-bone steaks at my parents' house this afternoon. I still have a major case of the food stupids; i.e., the blood leaves your brain and stays around your stomach while you digest. URP.

When were you in Okaloosa County, FL? I lived in Niceville during '82-83.

I went to Valparaiso Elementary '64-67 and Ruckel Jr. High '67-68. We lived in Val-P, Andrews Dr. next to Tom's Bayou. My parents were in Niceville about the time you were there, then they moved to S. Walton County on the bay. Ever eat at Nicademos? mmm.... great grilled grouper.

There were many people from AL down there, both in S. Walton and Okaloosa. Our friends would go home and bring back the peaches.

Don't recall Nicademos. That was a beautiful area. My youngest daughter was born in Ft. Walton Beach, while we lived there.

I don't have to cook
My mommy is taking me to dinner at Anthony's where I will dine on mussels, spinach salad with rasp vinaigrette and berry shortcake for dessert. Mmmm.

Mussels are really good right now. Must be the time of the year for them in the PNW.

Sounds good. Kinda makes me hungry. Think I'll finish this package of peanutbutter crackers before going to class.

A full stomach, and full lungs, can really screw up your insides when you hit the mat. We practice exhaling before a lot of things, like when we strike, when we block, etc., but especially before hitting the mat.

While your food sounds delicious, divinity, don't fix any for me. It would sure blow my attempts to diet. Yet, it sounds like a normal meal Sure wish that I could eat like a normal person.
