Newbies and Blisters

“Hey you guys, I have seen all kinds of suggestions on blister prevention. I wanna hear from you. This Rookie wants to know what really works for you! Blister on one heel; Best Solutions???? Thanks”

“Thin polypro liner socks. Good fitting and broken-in boots. Duct tape on heel before the blister starts.”

“1. use liner socks
2. make sure the boots fit good - your foot shouldn't slide around inside the boot.
3. when you feel the spot heating up. STOP and put moleskin (or duct tape) on the spot right then and there.
4. at the end of the day take the boots off, won't help hot spots or blisters, but it sure does feel good!”

“I've used the duct tape method for a while, but I found that it doesn't always work. Now I have the secret: proper boot lacing. Once Krazy Kevin (who had the same boots as me*) showed me how to tie them properly, PRESTO! No more blisters!

1] get significant other to build a little rickshaw(sp?) style cart.

2] purchase whip.

3] say, "MUSH" < snap >”

Am I the only one here that GETS blisters on me feet if I wear polypro socks?

Every stinking time I use them, under my merino wool socks, I gets a bad blister below the big toe on the foot. Seeing the skin is so soft there, the blister "pushes" it's way forward (or up?) to in between the big toe and next one.”
