Alpine ridge in the Wasatch.
Hi everyone I am new to the group, I am toying with the idea of hiking the entire Alpine Ridge in the Wasatch Mountains, from Alta Ski Resort to Lone Peak. Has anyone attempted this? Or at least done sections of it? Any spots along the ridge I would run in to problems? I am thinking of camping at either white or red pine lake, and lake Hardy. Of course if it ends up taking longer then expected I can camp in any of the valleys below the ridge. I for sure want to summit Devils Castle, Little Matterhorn, and Lone Peak on the way. If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated. Also anyone who has done extended backpacking trips in the Wasatch, let me know what route you took and your expierence. Thanks.

Never done it. This would not be a good time to do it. I most likely know some people in the WMC who have done this, I believe there is a name for it as well. As for backpacking in the Wasatch Mountains (SLC area) not really to many places you can put a tent down (space wise), but have found a few. Good Luck.

Hope it helps.

Still lurkin......
Things are good but real busy. You were the last TT'r to see my dad at work. He was certainly the master decorator! He passed away from cancer last Oct. so I have to keep the property up and the bro and I..the Bakery. Sis is taking care of mom. Now I have the cabin to keep up also, but that's fun stuff. Next time ya come out, ya got a place to stay. It's a great cabin.

Road construction is over and business has returned to normal.

All in all.....things are good here. Lookin forward to the mountains when the snow melts!

Sorry to hear about your father. I really enjoyed the tour of the bakery and was an instant hero when I showed back up at Snowbird with the box of samples.

I will sure let you know when I am on my way out there again.
