can someone break it down?
“i've been around for a little over a month now and i gotta say i'm pretty confused about all these tree/twig/maple people.
can someone please break it down for me?
how many people here are related and how ?”
“We're all related that's why this board is the way it is.”
“i deny knowing any of them”
Mapleleaf is my wife and Twignut is my daughter. Someone dubbed us the Tree Family a while back and it sorta stuck.
My son has the name of landstalker, but he seldom, if ever posts. He's 11 and Twig is 16. That should cover it...”
“prove that i am your wife!!”
“Where does Lex fit in?!”
You mean this thing I'm a totin'?
“I thought Tree was married to Maria?”
“thats right and i am married to lex.”
“Whooo Hooo Treebeard has just been given freeedoom”
“Nein, Bearmaugnet Maria ist my vife. Und Vee Reepubleecans do not like treese een Caleeforneea.”
Other TT marriages:
“Birch and sass
Treebait and HPM
Bacpac and Miss Ann Thrope”
“sacco, are you from NY?”
“Other TT marriages ... Bacpac and Miss Ann Thrope
And Bales is the product of their inbreeding.”
“thanks TB you're a credit to your your family.
no thanks to your wife who is further trying to confuse me :P
twigeater's no relation?”
“ya, i'm from upstate, halfway between albany and syracuse.”
“no, just coincidence...”
“The tree family tree does not fork.”
“LOL i ma the one that gets confussed.
cool another Yorker!
sorry you missed the last trip.
we need to put another one together so you can meet some good folks from TT.
i'm going next weekend with redhawk and Zac.”
“to bad. we will be in VT that weekend. have you heard about the Ithaca trip?”
“ya, but i don't think i can make it.
i'm thru hiking the northville placid trail in june - no one else seems interested :(
i'll probably hit the ADK buttkicker too.
don't know how much else i can fit in this summer.”
“nope its in july
tri p info
zac, there is no kayaking on the top of the Mt.
“ya i know. i'm just really busy this summer and i don't know how much playtime i'll be able to get in. we just bought a house and i'm gutting/redoing it room by room + building a pole barn.”
“what is a pole barn?”
“A storage structure with a roof but no walls, only supporting poles for the roof, hence the term "pole barn"...”
“it's a building supported by posts or poles rather than the entire outter wall. it makes it easier and cheapier to build because you don't need to pour foundations around the whole perimeter - just under the poles.
most barns are built this way nowadays. you can't really tell from the outside.”
“bit - they can have walls, like mine will, they just don't have any loadbearing walls.”
The Tree Families Milk Man.....aka home wrecker
“I'm going to be sick.
“Are those Ice Axe loops on his nips?”
“he looked better after Bowlderman got hold of his picture...”
“OK...all the pole barns I've ever seen had no walls, or just one. But that makes sense.”
“No snaf, those are electrical contacts...”
“What doesn't get talked much about was the brief love affair that Mapleleaf and I had in the era of FreeLove. It was 1971, Mapleleaf lived in Lansdale, PA and was a mere Maplesprout. I lived in Warminster, PA and was a lonely Private Bobo. We were both 6 years old and hit it off one day playing doctor in a tent in my backyard. Alas, in the coming years, Maple moved to New Yawk and I was sent away to juvenile correction - This is where I met Treebeard. I told him about my Childhood Sweetheart and showed him a picture. Treebeard slipped me a chloral hydrate in my milk at lunchtime, stole Maplesprout's picture, escaped juvey, headed to New Yawk, and the rest, as they say... is history.
I hold no grudges against the Treepeople as time heals all wounds, not to mention I stole Treebeard's Roberto Clemente baseball card one day when he wasn't looking. All in all, I'd say it was a fair trade.”
“sure bit, i really didn't know either until i started looking into building this barn.
i was surprised to find out that most of the newer barns you see are all actually pole barns - you just can't tell from the outside.”
“So, that's where that damned card went!”
“maybe this lex thing is all about karma...”
“LOL @ Capn......”
your were the hottest 6 year old that i had even seen.
man you were a hunk in them diapers”
“Hang on, Bobo was still in diapers at 6?”
“Bobo is in the big house.”
“apparently a very slow learner.”
“want to see a pic?
