My wife is a pharmacist. She dispenses prescriptions for birth control and for STDs all day long. She would never talk about a specific customer, but my kids have had an education about what does happen, not just what "can" happen. I think those talks have helped them.

I will admit that once we lose control over the direct supervision of our kids in their teenage years, they can do what they want. However, I don't think that is an excuse not to have rules and expectations based on your moral beliefs. If you are too strict you will drive them away. But if there is no sense of responsibility instilled in them and you are too lenient, they can get pretty messed up as well.

Some really good advice, Snake eyes and lots of others. Biz, I can always count on you to be hilariously clueless.

I guess I like the part about talking with her and letting her have a say in the decision on the dating age as long as we come to an agreement that I can live with. Should be an interesting next ten years or so.

I was smart enough to ask the Police Chiefs' daughter out. They were so strict with her, she would do anything.
