Shirley, Sam, Fajeh (sp? persian) & Amy (Chinese) Invited me to Dream Night Club on Saturday. Amy was very forward with me while I was flirting with Fajeh on Wednesday.

The Four are Roomates. I'm destined to blow this. I love them all.

Talk about sick, The ad generator knows that Bearmagnet can't really get a date, so it doesn't bother to put dating ads on this thread. But it does know that Bearmagnet is always gonna need a new table waiting gig, so the ads on this thread are for waitstaff jobs.

What are you talking about? I have 4 dates on Saturday and all I need for transportation is a Taxi. ;)

Reminds me of the scene in Love Always where the English dude, who can't find a woman in the UK, decides to buy a plane ticket to some magical place in America called Milwaukee. He walks into a bar there and meets 3 hot chicks who invite him back to their place after apologizing that they are so poor that they cannot afford clothes and that they have to all share one bed sleeping naked.

I can't believe it, but I just got a dozen red roses from my guy. Even from all the way over in Afghanistan Jon takes care of me. I am one lucky, lucky girl!

I hope everyone else is have a fantastic Valentine's Day!

I also received a package from Stovestomper today. Did I mention how lucky I am?

I was going to bring this thread back up, but Ruby beat me to it.

I get to brag, too. My girlfriend had flowers delivered to my office. She rules! She was a non-hiker, but she has gone to REI with me twice, done some dayhikes and will go camping/backpacking with me in warmer weather. What more can I ask for?

I am waaayyy more blessed than I deserve. :-)

Yes, you can send him stuff if you want. When he gets packages, he usually shares with the other guys in his platoon. His favorite is to get food like tuna in foil packs or the dehydrated venison stew I sent him. Then he doesn't have to eat the stuff they give them. If anyone wants to send anything, email me and I can give you his direct address.

Very funny about the fart in a jar. LMAO

Which she has paid for, I might add. She bought a tent from me.

Can't have all my 'TT Harem', as lizs calls my TT female friends, mad at me for not sending them all a package. LOL

I received two dozen red roses today too... from a "Your secret admirer Kevin". There was a nice little poem attached to it too... I'd blush too much to share it with you guys though. There was even a home made wind screen wrapped around my roses... who could have ever sent such a thing.

Heck... I could probably make next weekend. It's justa c ouple of days after my Bday... so I'd be expecting lots of presents from you guys.

My prefered hikign style is covering 12-15 miles in a day from point A to point B. Those bushwacking trips aren't as appealing to me... but I do need to try to make one one day... especially since I've never hiked at sipsey. :o

He did sign up for Sipey in Nov, but bailed at the last minute. He has to be real though, because he links pictures. That's the proof, right? OTOH, I don't think anyone has ever actually accused lyra of being a hiker. Apples and Oranges my friend, apples and oranges.

SS - if folks didn't know better, you're trip invite sure sounded like a down low invite. Scary.

DDX - I'm eventually planning on getting back to actual hiking trips where I cover more mileage by lunch than most of these recent trips cover in a weekend. I need to get out and do a nice 40 mile, 3 day trip to get my blood flowing.

Winter is my favorite time to hike in the south too.. you can actually see from the tops of the mountains and you don't sweat while trying to sleep unless trying to simulate a thermacare wrap. I missed out on all the good hiking weather this year :(

My first Valentine's Day in many many years without an "obligation."

I hope to never have a Valentine's Day obigation again. :)

(Now, someone special to share it with, that I might just be ready for next time around.)

Love is not all.
It is not meat nor drink nor slumber
nor a roof against the rain
nor yet a floating spar to men who sink
and rise and sink and rise and sink again.
Love cannot fill the thickened lung with
breath nor set the factured bone yet many
a man is making friends with death even now
as i speak for lack of love alone.

Tame, rugged, challenging, peak bagging. Who gives a sheet!? It's about getting out there. Or at least thinking of/planning on getting out there!
I can't believe that I'm finally going backpacking this weekend. It's been a looooonnnnggg time. I'm gonna freeze my arse off and be miserable, but I'm gonna do it! LOL! Maybe I'll get the bug out of my system until spring when it warms up.
