“Sierra Trading Post. Item #99664.”
“bitpusher to the link rescue!!!”
“Those look really nice, anyone have input. Now I need to go find if anyone found the coupon code!”
“Dang it! That my poles! I paid $65 for those this summer!
I think I need a spare set.”
“They are really bad poles, don't buy them (till after I get my order in) ;)”
“SS too late”
“What's the code, dhutch?”
“They also sell rubber tips for these poles. Item# 99611 $4.95. They work great in areas that are rocky.”
“Didn't find a code on the thread, just a general discount discussed. For $30 bucks those are a deal anyway. 20% is $6. It was worth that to get my order in before yours!
These look good for snowshoeing!!”
“Thanks Badger..I have a friend who is needing some poles I'll tell him about these..woohoo”
“okay...I am losing my mind....that's what I am reading:
non anti-shock poles, which reduce stress on knee
dangid...doesn't that mean they are NOT anti-shock...
anti-shock would have the spring, right??
dang, I hate days like that!!!”
“These are non anti shock poles. There will be no spring action in these poles. I don't think you will miss the anti-shock.”
“so they screwed with my mind though...because the spring is what reduces the stress on the knee, at least it's supose to”
They're comparably lightweight, Komperdell is good quality from what I read on this board and they're dirt cheap! I have antishock and don't feel what difference it really makes. Even for a backup pair, this is a fantastic deal.”
“Naaaaaaaaaaaa, they are terrible poles, cheap, break easy! Don't buy them!
(dang it dhutch! You are gonna have all of them sold before I can get the discount code to buy mine! Ha Ha)”
“Op, I've got mail, my poles are being shipped. lol”
“STP does have riddles in there catalogs you can answer to get free shipping. If you have the Gift Express 2003 catalog, the answer to the riddle on page44 is toys for tots and Bill and Diane Hendricks. I save alot on shippin by using these. Hope this helps.”
“i may get a set for my kids. They always wanted some, but I dont want to pay big $$.
I'll get them I think...”
“oh my, this is the price for the set! wow...that's just great. better then wali-land prices.”
At Least I Think They Are
“Those poles look like the ones Nigal has.
For $30, you can't beat'em.”
“This is only one instance so may not mean squat, but figured I oughta' mention it anyway.
I have a pair of Leki poles which my son kept "borrowing", so when I found a pair of Komperdells (similar to these but not the same) I bought 'em - $49.95 as I recall. I always heard Komperdell's were pretty good.
Anyway, they lasted about 4 hikes before major failure.
My current Leki's, on the other hand, have prolly 3-400 trail miles on them & are great.
I bought him a pair of Leki's earlier this year before our JMT trip, no more Komperdell's for me!”
“Now that I have placed my order for three sets of these bad boys I will say they are great!
I have been using mine since the Rocky Mt. trip this past summer and have been very happy with them. They are good quality Komperdells and fairly light.
I ordered two sets as gifts and a spair set for myself for the price of one set.
The STP discount code did not work for these, but they are so cheap who cares.
I also ordered the rubber tips ($5 set) for use on soft ground.”
“Well phuck me with a rinestone studded cucumber! I just bought those damn things for $50! They kick ass. They are nice and light, the grips are great, the straps stay nice tight and the removable snow baskets real stay on. Snatch 'em up!”
“Sweet! I need a new pair. I bought a pair of Komperdells from STP a few years back. They lasted a long time, until I decided to go boot skiing with them and bent my wookie.”
“I am on my 2nd set of Komperdells & like them. However, I do like them with anti-shock feature, otherwise I would break them. The (older) Komperdells also shed their paint easily.”
“StoveStomper - I had to get up this morning and even connect from home before work to see if you just went ahead and bought those poles. The suspense was killing me.
Thanks for the endorsement of the poles.”
“"...until I decided to go boot skiing with them and bent my wookie."
Didn't that hurt, Artex?”
“Thanks for the link. Already had a pair of Komperdells, but somehow I lost one of 'em. New ones are now on the way.”
“I got mine for $23.96. Moooooooowahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!”
“Ooooooooh Stovestomper is going to be psssed.”
“Nah, it shouldn't bother Stove at all. He's so filthy rich, he wipes his butt with $100.00 bills...”
wow....... got MINE !!
“And, they said I saved $72.00 over the MSRP. WOW !! THANKS, Badger !!”
“Ho Ho Ho! Father Christmas!
Nope not rich, just don't have a current wife or kids to pay for. Hee Hee.
I can spend my money as I please, like buying three sets of these poles. A spare set for me, two sets as nephew gifts.
I got my email saying they have been shipped! 3 day express same price as standard.”
“You only got 3-day shipping??? Why, I got 2-day FedEx!!!
Neener, neener, neener...”
“Oh yeah. Thanks a lot for the heads up, Badger!”
“I will not buy another of poles, I will not buy another pair of poles, I will not buy another of poles, I will not buy another pair of poles, I will not buy another of poles, I will not buy another pair of poles, I will not buy another of poles, I will not buy another pair of poles, I will not buy another of poles, I will not buy another pair of poles,
SOME ONE STOP ME....I'M WEAK!”
“Give in to the Dark Side....”
“mtnsteve, you NEED another pair! What if one breaks, and they are such a steal! ;)
Oh such a good deal!”
“You should prolly get 3 pair, like Stove did...”
Your not hellllping.
“I just ordered some ultra light dry bags for Christmas...my wife ran out of the room with the card..... really!
The dry bag are way cool...but the poles are such a deal.”
“"...but the poles are such a deal."
Repeat this line endlessly until you achieve a trance-like state.”
“Your welcome. STP is a cool place to shop. I should get my poles next week. I got another pair of komp's and they have been good poles.”
“man o man, this is the break i've been waiting for. but i've got ZERO money to spare.....someone call buffalobabe and tell her i needthese or i might die on my next hike....no wait, that might not be a good angle.....oh well, the kids can skip a few meals this week. i mean, sacrifices must be made, right?”
“yeah, I wanted to order them too, but I had dental expenses this month, now christmas coming up...my kids really don't want hiking poles for presents... Oh well...
maybe some other time.”
“Got home today and found a big package from Sierra Trading Post on my doorstep. Good FAST service!
Inside were my three pairs of poles. Woo Hoo!
Nice three piece poles.
Put a pair on my digital scale and they came out 1 # 2.5 oz. for the pair.”
“Found some money and wanted to order them today...now they are regular price :( I think...i'll check again though... sucks, but that' my luck.”
“Yeah, Gem, the cutoff was yesterday. Snoozin' is loosin', bay-bee.
