I love Tom Jones MT. nice hike up, it has a sweet little lake and pretty views at the top. Butt kicker for a day hike if you go in via Tuxedo.

What's New #&%!$cat?
When I was a kid I used to love his TV show. Mostly because of the scantily-clad ladies.

But you have to admit, Ol' Tom (Jones that is) has a great set of pipes.

Jmitch there numerous day hike loops in Harriman. The area near Bear Mountain can be crowded depending on the weather. There is a section of the Ramapo Dunderburg trail that I like. Start at Route 106 and head north to a spot called Times Square, it’s a spot where something like 5 trails come together. From there you can take the Long Path north up to the Lemon Squeezer or continue on the Ramapo Dunderburg to the AT and take the AT south to the Lemon Squeezer. Near Lemon Squeezer you can pick up the White Bar trail south to either the Dunning trail or the Nurian trail, either will take you back to the Ramapo Dunderburg trail near where you started. The Nurian is farther south along the White Bar Near route 106.

Jmitch I don’t know the mileage of that route but there are other trails along the route that could be used to make it longer or shorter. All of Harriman is criss crossed with trails it’s easy to find a loop to do of varying lengths anywhere in the park.

What must hike said about the lemon squeezer. That section of the AT is beautiful. There's some semi-old growth forest there to, which is neat to see. There's a good place to park at the trailhead on the east side of the park where the AT is. I'd look it up for you but my maps are in storage.
