shep- Rates are $38 to $42. We charged $48 for C/P (customer pay)and got it no problem. North Cal rates are higher but judgement times are different- a 6 hr. dent here would be 3 or 4 there.

Hey, TT, how's it going?

Went for a short hike today w/ the kids. It rained (of course) and I forgot just about everything. Not really, just my jacket, so I froze and we went home early. Grilled the burgers at home (so much for packing it all up in the car!)

Hey, Scorch, still up?

what's new on the BF situation?

Living in the country, I've gotten less inhibited and have been working in the yard in just my sports bra and shorts. Today (before it rained) it was hot and sunny & I got burned big time on my back. I can really feel the heat now. Wish I had some Noxema to cool it down (and someone to apply it)

long distance relationships suck (even ones that are only 20 miles away)

When I first went to college, my bf stayed home to work: it didn't last long, he soon looked up a cheeky slut still in HS. You live, you learn and you go on.
mtnmom2

No offense, but that sounds so typical of post-high-school relationships -- or maybe it just the recent wave of movies about that sort of thing...

Scorch- things will be okay. When one door SLAMS shut another opens. It's just these freakin' hallways that are such a drag. Saw that somewhere- bumper sticker maybe?

thanks. just thought he was different, but i guess that's the typical thing a girl says when she's going through a possible breakup. i couldn't see my future without him. i still can't and it kills me, but i don't know how to fix things.

another thought
It's actually a longer story about a father who had two boys. One was always very optimistic and the other was always very pessimistic. One day the father thought he would teach his two sons a lesson.

The pessimistic son was awarded a room full of toys in which to play. His intent was that his pessimistic son realizes what pleasures await, when you don't dwell on bad things all of the time.

The optimistic son was sent to the stable to shovel manure. His intent was that his optimistic would learn that thing are not alway so rosy there will alway be things you don't like that will happen throughout life.

At the end of the day, the father went to check in on the pessimistic son. Upon entering the room, the pessimistic son started balling. When the father ask why he was crying, the son answered, "You're here to take the toys away." Unfortunately, his first son was still assuming the worst, fearing that his father would take a way the toys for no reason.

When the father went out to the stable to check on the optimistic son, he was amazed at what he saw. His son was throwing manure up in the air with great pleasure. When the father asked his son why he was so happy, his reply was "Daddy, with this much manure, there's got to be a pony in here somewhere. Fortunately, the second son never doubted for a second that even amongst the worst of things, there is often great pleasure to be found.

If it's any consolation, whatever is going on, he'll regret it some day. Not sure that will help you feel better now though.

Be good to yourself.
