" Dub 11:56:27 PM Look at Dub showing off his education using big words.” 7:22:18 AM 2/26/04 “he looked it up” 7:22:37 AM 2/26/04 Scorch “at this point just forget about the test and watch Braveheart.” 7:22:44 AM 2/26/04 “i know right?? i'm so screwed.” 7:23:42 AM 2/26/04 “does anyone watch american idol?” 7:24:23 AM 2/26/04 “remember; always guess "c"” 7:24:39 AM 2/26/04 “Hell no I don't watch that crap” 7:25:22 AM 2/26/04 “neither... do... i.. but what happens when it's short essay too?” 7:26:09 AM 2/26/04 “then you just use as many key words as you can remember and try your best to get the context right. So just read the list of key words before you go in.” 7:27:08 AM 2/26/04 “ttt” 4:28:06 PM 2/26/04 “hehe u said tit” 6:14:44 PM 2/26/04 “Yup!” 6:42:38 PM 2/26/04 “so, how'd the test go.” 6:43:05 PM 2/26/04 “better than i thought considering i didn't study. i was 20 minutes late cause i'm a slacker, and i ran into the classroom all out of breath. everyone must have looked at me like i was nuts. i just muttered "traffic." i think i passed.... a little.” 6:46:23 PM 2/26/04 “LOL! late for the test - you are a slacker. Didja see the Mt Rogers thread that popped back up? Ya gonna go this time? It was a big event last year - rained out sorta but a big event all the same - my inaugural TT trip.” 8:06:59 PM 2/26/04 “I'm so damn bored that I'm gonna have to take a look at some of this work that I brought home.” 9:01:43 PM 2/26/04 “excuse me, is this the inane banter or the pointless blather thread?” 9:03:43 PM 2/26/04 “I came here for an argument....” 9:51:28 PM 2/26/04 “nightcrawlers=4371 getup=4353 still ahead” 10:07:49 PM 2/26/04 “not for long if this shyte keeps up” 10:08:47 PM 2/26/04 “Didja see the Mt Rogers thread that popped back up? Ya gonna go this time? It was a big event last year - rained out sorta but a big event all the same - my inaugural TT trip." ill check it out... and sign up as a maybe for now” 10:14:29 PM 2/26/04 “I felt the hate rise up in me Kneel down and clear the stone of leaves I wander out where you can see Inside my shell I wait and bleed song's stuck in my head my back is still bothering me... maybe i should get it checked out” 10:35:18 PM 2/26/04 “what song is it? go to the dr's, goofball.” 10:36:27 PM 2/26/04 “wait and bleed - slipknot i'm gonna wait 'til i get home for spring break to go to the doctor... i don't trust the doctor here, he scares me... but if i'm going to be doing any canoeing this summer, i really need this problem fixed, otherwise it's going to be a painful summer.” 10:39:40 PM 2/26/04 “chiropractor? accupuncture?” 10:42:46 PM 2/26/04 “yeah... somethin like that. i dunno, it's in the right side of my upper back... my shoulder, kind of underneath my right shoulderblade. It came from the repetative motion of paddling a canoe for 30some straight days, it doesn't usually bother me unless i'm canoeing, but i feel it sometimes. lately though, these last couple days it's been quite painful, last night... ohhh it hurt, sharp burning sensation under my shoulder blade.” 10:45:40 PM 2/26/04 Simer “Please, I mean please, guy. I'm begging you, Don't buy in to the Chiropractor thing okay? Go to a gym and work out "both sides" of your back. Most back pain is muscular in nature. If your back pain is more than muscular in nature, you need medical attention. Chiropractors are "Not" medical professionals.” 10:56:49 PM 2/26/04 “i don't think it's muscular... but i wasn't planning on going to a chiropractor, the pain is driving me insane though, i mean... it's not unbearable, (though at times it gets close) it's usually just a dull/sharp(does that make sense) pain, that gets quite annoying, and i know that while canoeing i know it's going to get worse(i should be writing this on the back pain thread)” 11:25:32 PM 2/26/04 “yoga....or stretching.......” 11:29:03 PM 2/26/04 “The thing with the chiro guy is that once you start - you can't stay "fixed" without going back. And there's a good chance he's gonna take a minor problem and screw it up worse when he's pushing things around. Some of them are good - but a lot of them SUcK! Go to a regular doc and get some xrays done, see an orthopedist and see what he says. Your too young for the bone crusher.” 11:29:28 PM 2/26/04 “Hey simer, I had a pain in my left shoulder like that after a softball injury - it wouldn't go away for the longest time. I went to the ortho and he gave me a cortisone shot - fixed it immediately and it's never come back.” 11:32:09 PM 2/26/04 “hmmm... i think i'll get a doctors appointment for when i go home during spring break, see what they have to say” 11:40:03 PM 2/26/04 “Look at Dub showing off his education using big words." Roam Around I paid $40K and learned a few big words I could have looked up....aahhh, college.” 12:27:21 AM 2/27/04 “Chiropractors are "Not" medical professionals." Wheelz I once had a high maintenance girlfriend that would disagree with you Wheelz. Of course I consider them a luxury doctor as well, but she thought of them the same way as I thought of my family doctor.” 12:29:03 AM 2/27/04 Slackers! “You slackers! We're only 34 (now 35) posts ahead of get up. We need to blow it out of the water by a couple hundred!” 12:39:35 AM 2/27/04 “noone was here last night.... < voice="perry como" > I felt so alone, There's no one here besides me.... < /voice >” 8:13:09 AM 2/27/04 “ they are catching up! Nightcrawlers unite in action! ” 9:58:51 AM 2/27/04 “Sorry, I'm only a part time Nightcrawler. What's new?” 10:05:16 AM 2/27/04 “sneeze” 10:11:21 AM 2/27/04 “Keep your damn sneezes away from me. I think you got me sick. I've been coughing and wheezing since Monday morning.” 10:14:03 AM 2/27/04 “YOU got ME sick to begin with! on a side note... what color would u say my eyes are? ”5:13:44 PM 2/27/04 “puce” 5:15:49 PM 2/27/04 “they most certainly aren't red.” 5:16:44 PM 2/27/04 Killing your own pet “I had three hamsters. Two of them were getting very old, almost 3 years old, and I thought that since they didn't leave much past 3 that I would release them into the wild this summer when it warms up. That way they could have a taste of freedom from their life in a 30x15" cage. Of course they wouldn't last very long in the wild but at least they'd have that freedom. Well, last night I found the white one dead and her roommate struggling for life...his back legs didn't work for some reason and he was cold. I'm not sure exactly what happened as they had water and I'd fed them some lettuce and tomato that week. So I couldn't decide what I should do. The one hamster dead, the other dying....should I just throw him out with the cage litter since he was dying? I couldn't do it and after a few minutes of thought I decided that drowing him and putting him out of his misery was the best thing to do. So I filled up a bucket of warm water, picked him up and dunked him. He twitched and squirmed and it took about two minutes for him to stop. It was very weird. I've killed animals before, including fish and deer which I've gutted while barely alive. But none of that was similar to drowning an animal...anyone ever do that? I mean, it was only a hamster and he was suffering and I look at it as I did him a favor but still it was weird killing a pet that I'd had for nearly 3 years, a pet that I had shoulder trained and had let run freely in the living room occasionally. I couldn't imagine euthanizing my dog, so why could I do it to the hamster which has been around longer than the dog? Anyway, I thought it was a weird thing to do...any of you guys ever had to put a pet out of its misery with your bare hands rather than getting it an injection? Thoughts?” 5:31:33 PM 2/27/04 “you sick mofo!!! just break it's neck, sheesh.” 6:02:53 PM 2/27/04 “break its neck! That's worse than drowning it. An animal that small I'd end up ripping its head of trying to snape its neck. Drowning is much more humane.” 6:25:29 PM 2/27/04 “Come people these are living things. Let them die with dignity, like shove a bottle rocket up it's a$$ and light it.” 6:44:41 PM 2/27/04 Jump to Page << prev
