yeah, the move went smooth, the job is starting off well, kids are in school and they both LIKE their school and teachers. The busses ran on time and actually brought both kids home at approximately the right time. Life is good and getting better.

the instructor couldn't get the proxima to work, so he couldn't show his powerpoint presentation, which delays the test that we were supposed to have on friday, 'til monday and left us without class today.

My Java professor couldn't do anything without PowerPoint. I hated it. If you asked him a question and he didn't have a slide that would answer it, he'd bring one the next day. The tests were composed of questions from hundreds of PowerPoint slides. I swore to myself if that I ever became a teacher I would never use too many PowerPoint slides.

My daughter had to go to work with me on Mon and Tue. It was FUN! She drew lots of pictures and generally tried to drive me completely insane. Thank God, the school enrollment process finished on Tue afternoon. I don't think I could have taken another day - woulda had to call in or something. Too much togetherness can ruin a parent.

18! Are you kidding? My parents made me move up here when I was 18 but that didn't get rid of me. Still have to be a parent long after 18...I'm assumming you get to stop being a parent when the first grandkid is about 25.

I'm not a parent, but I'm guessing that when you first became a parent you had a lot of questions for your parents (thus making them be a parent with their grown up son). I figure those questions are numerous with an infant, teenager, and maybe when the kid goes to college.

Yeah, the first season of episodes were the best. Since then they have sucked. They need to get those original writers back, stop the "not another teen movie" relationship between Clark, Lana, and Chloe, and show more of his powers.

Dinner...being poor I ate a can of soup.

Invest in a washer and dryer from the newspaper. I paid $50 for my first set. They were older than me, but they worked. The washer lasted a year and the dryer lasted 2 years.
Dub

2/04/04

At least you can. This new apartment is built for stacked machines in the laundry room, and wouldn't allow me to use my machines even if I could hook them up. It's brand new and the machines won't be delivered till next week. Now that wouldn't be terrible (they have a laundry room) BUT, the laundry room machines are set up for some little card reader and the machine that dispenses the cards is out of order! We're all gonna run out of clean clothes, just trying to make it to Sat!

Roam, find out of the washing/drying machines are networked with any type of network cables to the little card dispensers. If it's not then we can reprogram one of those cards to have 1,000,000 credits on it ;-) You can reprogram them with the same software used to reprogram the cards on satellite dishes.
Dub

hmmmmm, I'll check that out. They're bring my machines in next monday anyway. but it'd be kinda fun to do some freebies. Bet I could make nice with a couple of the younger chicks here....

We had one like that in our complex. When my washer broke we used the complex's machines. However, they are still nice when you want to do a TON of laundry at once...like washing all the comforters and sheets and big stuff in your house. It was nice to do them for free ;-)
