Skeeters don't seem to bother me, they bite, but i don't itch.

they swarmed on me in the Smokies last Sunday night while I was setting up my tarp, must've had 7 or 8 at a time chewing on my legs and arms, but not one big red spot and no itchies at all.

I'm immune to the Southern varieties at least. Same with bees and such too.

Skype....
Anybody use the skype software yet? I just downloaded Junes Technology Review and it had an article about this free p2p internet phone software by the same guys who developed Kazaa before selling it to Sharman. With unlimited long distance on phones nowdays it seems like the biggest users will most likely be using it for international calls but it's still and interesting concept. They claim it's better than VoIP.
Silent J

hmmm, never heard of it. And like ya say, I don't really have the need for it. I have free long distance on my land line.

I'm alway's looking for a cool concept to save money though. If it wasn't limited to only calling people on the network it would have the definite potential to devestate the telephone industry. Then the government would tax the hell out of it....I'm still trying to figure out why my phone bill has almost $15 in taxes and misc. charges from the gov. every month.

I'm going to have to miss that one. Sounds like a cool trip though. You should listen to the Who's Tommy album and Crosby Stills and Nash (Young) to get ready for it. I think CSN&Y have a song about Woodstock called "into the garden" or something like that.

Not going to Woodstock.

The phone is free to call anybody else with the software for an unlimited amount of time. They charge a set price per minute to call land lines that you have to pay for in advance. The article focused on people that were making international calls since they would see the most savings from this.

I was walking around doing a pretty weak beat box and a co-worker asked me what I was doing. I asked if she knew who Rahzel was and she said no. I asked if she knew who Wu Tang was (Rahzel is a member of Roots but she may recognize his work with RZA) and her response was, "I don't listen to white rap." WTF? Apparently she doesn't listen to black rap either.
