I carried a lot of heavy things like a 1.5lbs knife and a 2lbs flashlight and an 11oz pillow. As for being an ultralight wanker...no holes in my toothbrush, I laugh at those guys. I lost other weight by going from a 4lbs bag to a 3lbs bag, and a 7lbs pack to a 3.5lbs pack. Stopped carrying extra shoes, books, a palm pilot and a hatchet.
