Yes, Pixie, that is exactly what she is supposed to do however, I didn't raise her to follow through with her instincts so she needs to back off and lay down, take in the sun, be lazy. Like me.

HA! raise a JR to be lazy??? LOL. i think you'll have better luck teaching your goldfish to fetch

I think my dog was absent on brain day. Jackson chases shadows....into walls. He refuses to look up at the ball whose shadow he was chasing, until he gets hit in the head by it. He follows on the trail instead of leading. I love him though. He is sweeter than sugar.

Does your dog bark at any animal he sees on the TV?

Our dog Shelby will attack the set whenever she see's or hears and animal. Could be anything.

Birch's dog not only barks at the tv she attacks the animals on it! She's ruined our picture; we have a great green blob in the lower left corner of the screen now. Funny thing is she's a whoose outside on walks, never even acknowledges other dogs (not that I'd want her to) but goes nuts for whatever's on TV. She hates horses the most.

Sorry to hear about the pets, folks.... I know the feeling ---

I did get a few good shots of the Weasel last Thursday --- she really enjoyed her new tent.

"Damn... I forgot my rainfly!"

Dang Tilt, she's too cute!

One of my favorite cats, Spider, had a thing for hockey players and racecars on t.v. He'd go nuts during the Stanleys.

Yeah, I know...

Hockey? that's pretty weird.... LOL...

Actually it's a T-rest 'sport seat' something or other -- looks just like the real thing, though, doesn't it? *G*

I went to the local backpacking/kayaking place a couple of weeks ago and asked if any of their "miniature" demonstrator tents had been discontinued and they sold me that one cheap --- supposedly it's a North Face Roadrunner.

(still... no rain-fly)

That rocks!

My beloved girl today went ballistic when the cat that lives upstairs was at our window. Lu is indoor only. She was on the window sill flailing around growling, etc. Apparently my face got in the way. : ( She has never ever scratched anyone. I don't think she even knew she did it. It made me sad tho. : (

A while ago Nigal suggested that I post a picture of my fat cat, Roscoe. So I am finally getting around to it.

He's a 22 pound Maine Coon. I shave him to the skin every six months, which he loves. In this picture, taken the other day, his hair has not grown back in fully yet.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

His nicknames are Tick and LardA$$.

I took the picture with my own feet in it for perspective. He usually sleeps flat on his back in that position, with all four legs spread eagle to the world. He really doesn't give a cr*p. He also snores loudly in his sleep.

Carlotte, thanks! It's a good spring color I think.

Cute little toes though.

What up with the wiffle balls?

Ruby my childhood kitty was a Maine Coon I found in a tree. She lived 22 years!!! Was also rather large. Kinda sweet, when she started to et really old she got skinny and walked really slowly and spent all her time on an old lazyboy in the basement. She was the best cat I ever knew.

I dunno about your bird species in particular, but in general, bird sex is pretty simple and doesn't take long. Well, once you get past the courting that is.

I must have completely lost my mind. I am know the loving caretaker of a mouse....had to rescue it from being eaten (like it's little friend) by the snake (my bf's).

It's name is Vincent...Vinnie for short.

Hey, snakes have to eat too. The snake got one of the mice...I got the other. It's kind of nice having a wee pet. I haven't had a pet in about 10 years. It's ironic that in NYC I have a mouse for pet!

Cute mousie!

Ok, I have to brag about my cat Lu Lu. She is such a good girl. I've had a chest cold for a week and have been coughing a lot. The poor kitty snuggles with me at night and I'm hacking up lungs and she puts up with it. She doesn't move or anything. Poor girl.
