great movie, that ford turas halled ass”
Briar / Dare
“Crazy bird lady, eh? Not the first time I've heard that... I'm starting to believe it's true!
Yea, Bobo lives around the corner from me, almost literally. And I work right near Quakertown. I'm gonna have to hitch a ride with someone! If they don't mind, that is.”
Crazy Bird Lady test
“Are you considering having your graduation pictures taken with your bird on your shoulder?”
“Hmm... the idea is now pondering in my little crazy bird brain.
“I have a friend whose wife did that.
She also wanted to use the same picture in the paper for their engagement announcement, but the paper said no. She was incensed.”
I actually got professional pictures of my parrots taken when I worked with birds. Hey, it was free cause I worked there!! Why not?”
“'Cause it's weird?
No, just kidding. Parrots live a really long time, don't they? Why not have pics of them?”
“Yea, as long as they're given the proper care. Avian medicine isn't that advanced,... yet.
Depending on what type of parrot you own, depends on it's life span.
The kind I have don't live REALLY long lives if you take into consideration other types.
My parakeet is 7, which is real old for a keet. Because of the horrible breeding conditions they come from, they generally don't live past the age of 2-4 years old. People don't know how to take care of them is what I'm trying to say.
My lovebirds can live up to 10-15 yrs.
My conure (his name's Flapper) has the capability to live up to 15-20. He's my favorite guy.
See, look, once a person gets me started talking "birds," I can't stop!”
“Yah, it's kinda like me and the space program. Don't get me started.”
“Wow, he's colorful.
You'll have to forgive my lack of enthusiasm, as I don't care for birds much.
You are, however, edging dangerously close to Crazy Bird Lady territory...lol...”
“Oh, yea. I'm already there, don't worry about me. There's no turning back now.
That's okay, either ya love em or hate em. I personally love em... except when they were talking to me while trying to study for midterms this morning.”
I'll give you a ride... Dork!
“She works with birds...
Why am I not surprised?!?!?
someone had to say it!”
“LOL, keep it up bobo!
Thanks for the lift”
“RRraaahh, Squawck! The square root of the cosine of the hypotenuse of the angle theta equals 12... RRaaahhh!!”
“The scarey thing is.. When I read it, I read it like a parrot talks....
“I hope they aren't oral exams!
“Haha.. I'm done my midterm for today thank god. I don't think I did very well. Studied the wrong s-hit. It was one of those exams where, upon looking at the material on the test, I almost cried.”
“That sucks Melvin.
In college, I lived by the golden rule of "Partial Credit"!”
“Hey, I'm over it... until Friday when it ruins my Halloween when I get it back!
That's okay though.. fun weekend planned. Sat dayhike at Nockamixon, Sunday take home midterm (not really fun but whatev) and Sunday night is Chevelle concert.
And don't forget, Friday night with Tea : )”
“Like always, :(, I need to check with the boss but the trip sounds good. If I (we) have no plans, I'll most likely commit to the trip.
“Hey Bobo, is that bird too small for T-Day on the trail?
Just Kidding Scorch.”
“What a cool bird!!!!!!!
“Thanks. He's awesome!!”
“did someone here mention the Pythagoreom Therom?
Does anybody know how to spell it??”
“Pythagoreum sounds right?”
oh Lord, at leat I tried..
“I did manage to get this bunch of freaks to talk about the hike for a few posts. Hopefully long enough to figure out where the hell they're hiking.
That is all. Back to your regular programming.”
“I thought you were coming with?”
“nah, bruce has better hikes, more important trail to cover.
“Well he is free (sort of) for a few more days i hear....”
“With his wireless GPS Trail talk tracker, he will be able to monitor us from his house.
Jez, that guy has some cool gadgets.”
Let's Get Ready to Ruuuummmbbbbllleee!
“"Fright-Nite" date on Halloweenie!
Have you guys decided where you are going to eat? Let me know, so I can meet up with you and bring the scale for the weigh-in.

Are you really going into town for dinner? It's sooo far from here and Scorchy is under cerfew.
Just come over to my place and I'll throw some little trick-or-tweeters on the grill!”
“I would, but I've already got reservations.”
“BBQ at Bobo's, woohoo!”
“Curfew? I haven't had one of those since high school!”
“and that was how many days ago young lady ?
“5 years ago actually :P i'm almost 23.”
“Thanks for the invite, but I have other plans that weekend. Have fun y'all!”
“Yeah, Buddha has to go out and mug Trick or treaters for their candy.
Hey, chocolate is chocolate....I understand.”
“Man Scorch you are old!”
“slurp slurp slurp slurp”
“do we have to shuttle for this hike? is it really a hike? did i miss these things somewhere?”
ductape et al
“This is a real hike.
Next weekend, November 8-9th.
The trip itinerary is posted on the trips page atop all the mumbo-jumbo.
This is a loop hike that will begin and end at the World's End office parking lot on Rte. 154.
If anyone needs detailed directions to get to the park, please let me know.”
repost from page 1:
“The Loyalsock / Link Trail loop is a 17-18 mile loop that begins at the World's End State Park office. It's on rte 154 west of Laporte in Sullivan County. I'm lousy with directions so perhaps Bobo can offer directions from various directions.
This hike is not in Jmitch's book as I said once before but rather in the 50 Hikes in Central Pennsylvania book, hike number 46.
There are some very nice waterfalls and views on this hike, plus the added bonus of camping at Bobo's secret campsite if he allows it."
There are 10 people confirmed for this trip but that is misleading. Tea is listed twice, and Buddha Bear is signed up, but I don't think he is coming in from Cleveland for an overnighter.”
“I've already been committed... ...ummm, now wait, that didn't sound right. Lemme start over.....
I already have two family committments for that weekend (there, that's better). But I might be able to hook up with youans for a day hike on that Saturday.”
“I've reposted a more legible trip itinerary. If anyone needs further details, lemme know.
Hope to see you all there!”
“Well it may not be in jmitchs book but he did write a trail review of the loop on the trails page.
