Crazy bird lady, eh? Not the first time I've heard that... I'm starting to believe it's true!

Yea, Bobo lives around the corner from me, almost literally. And I work right near Quakertown. I'm gonna have to hitch a ride with someone! If they don't mind, that is.

I have a friend whose wife did that.

She also wanted to use the same picture in the paper for their engagement announcement, but the paper said no. She was incensed.

I actually got professional pictures of my parrots taken when I worked with birds. Hey, it was free cause I worked there!! Why not?

'Cause it's weird?

No, just kidding. Parrots live a really long time, don't they? Why not have pics of them?

Yea, as long as they're given the proper care. Avian medicine isn't that advanced,... yet.

Depending on what type of parrot you own, depends on it's life span.

The kind I have don't live REALLY long lives if you take into consideration other types.

My parakeet is 7, which is real old for a keet. Because of the horrible breeding conditions they come from, they generally don't live past the age of 2-4 years old. People don't know how to take care of them is what I'm trying to say.

My lovebirds can live up to 10-15 yrs.

My conure (his name's Flapper) has the capability to live up to 15-20. He's my favorite guy.

See, look, once a person gets me started talking "birds," I can't stop!

You'll have to forgive my lack of enthusiasm, as I don't care for birds much.

You are, however, edging dangerously close to Crazy Bird Lady territory...lol...

Oh, yea. I'm already there, don't worry about me. There's no turning back now.

That's okay, either ya love em or hate em. I personally love em... except when they were talking to me while trying to study for midterms this morning.

This is a real hike.

Next weekend, November 8-9th.

The trip itinerary is posted on the trips page atop all the mumbo-jumbo.

This is a loop hike that will begin and end at the World's End office parking lot on Rte. 154.

If anyone needs detailed directions to get to the park, please let me know.

repost from page 1:
The Loyalsock / Link Trail loop is a 17-18 mile loop that begins at the World's End State Park office. It's on rte 154 west of Laporte in Sullivan County. I'm lousy with directions so perhaps Bobo can offer directions from various directions.

This hike is not in Jmitch's book as I said once before but rather in the 50 Hikes in Central Pennsylvania book, hike number 46.

There are some very nice waterfalls and views on this hike, plus the added bonus of camping at Bobo's secret campsite if he allows it."

There are 10 people confirmed for this trip but that is misleading. Tea is listed twice, and Buddha Bear is signed up, but I don't think he is coming in from Cleveland for an overnighter.
