Fox News is either evil or stupid for not mentioning that Alwaleed bin Talal is News Corp.'s largest shareholder.http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-aug ust-23-2010/the-parent-company-trap

It's like PETA owning Burger King. LOL!

Last week when I went to have my teeth cleaned the hygienist had Fox on the tv. I lost 10 IQ points. I haven't seen Fox in years but was still surprised how dumbed down and insipid it was.

Again, Who watches TV in the first place? Secondly, why do they watch what they want to hear, instead of what might start making sense if they listen? Does 'redneck' fit in with any of the above?

What happened to people like Tim Russert or Tony Snow?

Elite Media has lost it's influence and no longer guides the news. People get it. People are seeking their own news because they can no longer rely on most media outlets for complete and accurate reporting. If not for George Sorros, it'd be all over

My post was in answer to Stovie's request for the source of the network news ratings I posted above.

Murdoch/Soros, no difference, same result, just control over people who can't think for themselves, so, need someone else to blame and the government is custom made to be blamed for all the bi-products of special interest greed. How are those wars going , mongers?

You said you don't watch TV and I replied Yeah you're a Soros guy, like Media Matters, as opposed to networks. I never said he funded networks. Although that's not to say he doesn't have any influence over them. PBS broadcaster and Schumann Center for Media and Democracy President Bill Moyers is a trustee of the Open Society Institute's Board of Directors.

In an awkward moment on Fox News this week, a pundit suggested that a member of the Saudi royal family who has supported the bridge-building work of the imam behind a planned Muslim community center and mosque in Lower Manhattan funds radical madrasas all over the world. The awkwardness came from the fact unmentioned by anyone on the Fox set that the same Saudi, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, also happens to be the second-largest shareholder in News Corp., the parent company of the Fox News Channel.

Alwaleed owns about 7 percent of News Corp., or about $3 billion of the media giant.

Senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC contributed more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and campaign committees in 2008, according to an analysis by The Examiner of data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

The Democratic total of $1,020,816 was given by 1,160 employees of the three major broadcast television networks, with an average contribution of $880.

By contrast, only 193 of the employees contributed to Republican candidates and campaign committees, for a total of $142,863. The average Republican contribution was $744.

How about corporate donations to the presidential campaigns? Got any problem with those?
