Just how does one "hick"?

Does this activity involve twelve-packs of cheap beer?

...and guns?

Haven't we had enough redneck bashing on this site?

Love thy neighbor (and his rusted out pick-up truck sitting on blocks in the front yard).

You're right in the middle of the Mark Twain National Forest. Get some maps and strike off into the woods. Or, if you're a pu$$y, there's always the Ozark Trail...

If mutt is calling those of us who hike the Ozark Trail a #&%!$, I hope we have the good fortune to meet him on the trail one day.

Travelinlite, see if this site helps.

Yep, stick to the trail, trailrat. The rest of forest is for enthusiasts.

It's so hard to have to get into hicking gear when in Missouri, then have to get back into hiking gear when crossing the state line. Can the Missouri legislature do anything about this?
BTW, Mutt, the Ozarks trail is a great trail. Have you ever hiked it?
Dunadan

Dunadan: Of course! It has some nice sections, but it gets too many people on it. I prefer to avoid the trail-sheep and strike off into the woods. You really get to see a lot more that way.
Mutt

Well, Mutt, that's why you gotta know when and where to go. Don't go gettin' on Chili's bad side, though. He happens to belong to the trail association and helps maintain it, for which I and many others are grateful.
Dunadan

No, I do know when and where to go in Missouri, and that's why I avoid the Trail. The Trail is to be enjoyed, but it is mostly there for poseurs and tourists. Enthusiasts get out into the wilderness and leave the Trail to the trail-rats.

And I don't know what crawled up Chili's a$$. Here I thought we were friends. *sniff*
Mutt

Well, mutt, I guess you could say that I take more than a little offense at being called a #&%!$ for hiking the ozark trail.

I also get a little bent out of shape when I go places and see the numbers of fire rings, and camp sites in places where they should not be due to "bushwacking".

As a side note, I am fond of saying that I haven't met anyone yet that I couldn't like.

Lighten up Francis.

The role of anti-Christian jihadist is too limiting

The only thing limiting that particular avenue of debate is that Christianity is inherently illogical. The opposition can't muster much that I can't trivially refute.

And also, have you forgotten that in addition to being a bushwacking-snob, I'm also:

* A hammock-tent elitest
* Foreign policy know-it-all
* Technical treeclimber
* Champion of liberal social issues
* Loudmouthed braggart
* And of course, a backpacker.

Leftover Smegma. Isn't that the name of Strat's band?

Hey Vioin
that animation is wrong. TO correctly drink from the jug, you hold your arm up, with your finger through the jug loop and the jug resting on your arm and shoulder. Then, when you want a sip, you just turn your head and tip it.
For reference and some interesting history lessons, go to the books "Mountain Spirits" and, for on the manufacture, "More Mountain Spirits", they are suprosingly good books.
