My brother has a friend who has made an entire mail suit, over the years.

Treebeard, you need to get her back. Walk up to her on Monday and ask "Wanna screw?". Let the shock take hold for a few seconds, then set a screw on the table and say "You know, a screw? Want it?"

I didn't know he went out of business. Too bad. I am desperately searching for a way to cut the chain and end up with a perfectly clean cut.

Well, he does have this page up where he showed what he used. Some kind of jeweler's saw. It looks like a little circular saw.

He used a jewlers slotting saw blade. But like he said, he had it built. the chain or coil of wire must move through the blade and the blade must remain stationary. I can't seem to find anyone to make a machine like that and I can't find anyone to cut the wire if I coil it ahead of time.

On that page he showed the results from a bunch of different tools. Aviation snips didn't look too bad. Not as neat as the saw, but not too bad.

You could probably grind the cut ends with a bench grinder and get an even better result.

They gotta put stuff like that on there or stupid people will hurt themselves and sue.

I was flipping channels a year or so ago, and passed by a "baby birth" show. I noticed someone wielding a large dagger and stopped for a moment. This nutty Goth couple wanted the doctor to cut the umbilical cord with the husband's fantasy knife.

Idiots.
