I guess my fave trail meal at the end of the day is my homemade chili mac. Nothing hits the spot quite like that.

After a long trip, I want a steak, baked potato, a nice Cab, followed up with cheesecake. Very good.

Oh, I thought we were talking about at the end of the day on the trail?

The last few miles of a hike out I have Homer Simpson in my head repeating, "MMMMMM, Taco Bell...".

Lots of meat and a good pint of beer and a cigar and a nice easy chair.

If fish is available, fish cooked in foil with butter and a lemon pepper seasoning with a side of AuGratin potatos.

If no fish, Beef stroganoff with a side of instant mashed potatos and packaged gravy.

And whether you like it or not, I like to take snow, when available, and squeeze it into small snowablls, put it in my insulated mug and add...BOURBON!

Something sweet to get that blood sugar back up--rice krispie treats? When i hike out I want a cheeseburger and fries and a chocolate malt--usually have to settle for milk because nobody makes malts any more :(

Chocolate Milkshakes :) The really good kind, not the fake shakes.

Oh year and good beer too :)

On the trail - Parmesan Cous Cous and Chicken.

On the Drive Home - Checkers

Although I like Rosey's beef stew idea.
