. . .what do you crave to EAT?
“Food only. Cigars, booze and people are NOT allowed.
Me, Shrimp and chicken Creole dehydrated at home!”
“Miso soup, for a starter, to recharge my battery.”
“Utz potato chips
or if its been a really long day on the trail...
mashed potatos with gravy and steak...oh yeah, with a tall glass of beer
“I guess my fave trail meal at the end of the day is my homemade chili mac. Nothing hits the spot quite like that.
After a long trip, I want a steak, baked potato, a nice Cab, followed up with cheesecake. Very good.”
“A nice big salad.”
“Oooh, thanks Nigal, I forgot.
Caesar salad with the above steak dinner. Yum.”
“Oh, I thought we were talking about at the end of the day on the trail?
The last few miles of a hike out I have Homer Simpson in my head repeating, "MMMMMM, Taco Bell...".”
“That's what I meant...at the end of the day, but with THIS crowd...
REM. folks, it's food on the trail!
(BTW I have had dehydrated salad--oooh, so good!)”
“Lots of meat and a good pint of beer and a cigar and a nice easy chair.
“A half-pound burger and a Heiniken.”
“If fish is available, fish cooked in foil with butter and a lemon pepper seasoning with a side of AuGratin potatos.
If no fish, Beef stroganoff with a side of instant mashed potatos and packaged gravy.
And whether you like it or not, I like to take snow, when available, and squeeze it into small snowablls, put it in my insulated mug and add...BOURBON!”
“Dehydrated pasta and chocolate (seperate, not together). :-)”
“Something sweet to get that blood sugar back up--rice krispie treats? When i hike out I want a cheeseburger and fries and a chocolate malt--usually have to settle for milk because nobody makes malts any more :(”
“SOBE Nirvana at 80mph on the 395. With Nickelback on the dial.”
“Chocolate Milkshakes :) The really good kind, not the fake shakes.
Oh year and good beer too :)”
“On the trail - Parmesan Cous Cous and Chicken.
On the Drive Home - Checkers
Although I like Rosey's beef stew idea.”
