Since I have worked for FedEx for 15 yrs, let me translate for you.

The shipper completed the pick/pull process on Wed, 5-7-03. Then they get it to the shipping department to have the invoice matched up with the carrier (in this case FedEx) and then the shipping documentation is completed. The package is then ready for the carrier to pick up and it enters the system.

The FedEx 2day refers to 2 business days. This service is the most economical air service around.

FedEx gets possession of your digital camera on Thurs, 5-8-03. At that point the clock starts clicking. Friday is the first business day and Monday 5-12-03 is the second. The delivery commitment is by 4:30 in the afternoon, but generally all are deliveries are completed by 3:30 pm.

If you had ordered the camera a day earlier, it would have gone into our system on Wed and be delivered to you by Friday. That scenerio would give you a calendar accurate picture of the 2day service.

Hope this helps, and I can't believe I am dealing with work issues while away from the place... Ugh... I am sick....

Hi Freedom!

Thanks for your response.
Actually I ordered the camera over a week ago and FedEx just got it yesterday...so I know who to really blame ;) The camera store charged $26.40 for shipping from NY to CA .

26bux is a rip unless you got a bunch of insurance on it...most places do free shipping or do it for 10-15 bux.

C + for Fed EX
The founder of Fed EX received a C + from buisiness school for the Fed EX plan. I forget what college the dude went to though.

There was a plaque in the Civil Engineering building at MTU that said something about "C" students being the leaders. A's just mean you're book smart, C's mean you probably can function in the real world. :)

Ice Tea, I believe that "C" came from Yale.

So how can Tom Hanks get a clock from America to Russia overnight but he can't get his camera with in two? Sounds like a privilaged Hollywood conspericy to me!

If I have a B+/A- average....
...does that mean I am book smart AND can quasi-function in the real world?

(Sorry, been one of THOSE days.)

Yeah... The ripped you on shipping. The camera wouldn't weigh too much. $12-15 sounds more like it if depending on how discounted they are. A lot of companies have discounted volume pricing, but they pocket that and charge their customers full price or even an additional handling charge. It is a conspiracty!

Wind Walker... Have you ever taken a look at Canoga Camera in the LA area? They have some great prices and they let me use my own acct # for shipping. Since they are in CA, there would be a lower shipping charge as well, but you do still have state taxes... I guess it all works out in the wash!

HI NIGAL!!!! How you been? I think of you from time to time... In fact just went over the Llama 1 photos with a friend the other day. Sure had a blast meeting you then! Take care.

Olympus C-5050 Zoom
5 Megapixel
It lists for $800, I found one for $520 + 26.40 for shipping.
So I can't complain too much ;)

Digital Palms
Found them on Yahoo! shopping...I placed the order online, then had to call them to confirm the order and listen to their high pressure sales pitches on everything from extended warranties to extra lenses, batteries, etc.

The review said the pics are "razor sharp"...I hope so!
