O2 rain gear from Wally World

I looked at some of that O2 raingear that several people have raved about. Supposed to be similar to Frgg Toggs. WalMart had one of the jackets out of the bag. It looked like it was made out of the same material as the overshoes a surgeon would wear. I don't see how it could be waterproof, much less very durable at all. I guess it would be good to buy one and just throw it in the vehicle for emergencies, but I've heard some people talk about it like it was going to be their primary rain gear.

I think that in warmer weather where there is not a life or death need to stay dry - the risk / reward can tilt in favor of lighter, but less durable raingear. Particularly if rain is unexpected. I carry Frogg Toggs which are (if one can imagine) more durable than the O2 stuff, and have had no problems with durability to this point. However, I typically stay on the trail - particularly when it's raining.
