Geo, the problem is this.. that is how Philadelphia fans treat opponents fans.. The Phillies and Flyers are my favorite teams in their respective leagues, however I am a Skin's fan. I walked into the Vet (yeah it was a few years back) wearing skins garb, and was slammed into a wall going into the stadium, as i picked myself up, my brother went for the guy, who cowered behind his 5 friends)..

On the flip side, wearing a Flyer Jersey to an away game is also masochistic, because you get treated the way Philly treats opposing hockey fans... Rendell can say what he wants, the fact of the matter is that the Dodger Fans acted that way because that is exactly how Philly Fans Act...

I did have the pleasure of being the first Philly Game when JD Drew returned.. Now THAT was funny)..

I hope that no one is foolish enough to think that the ump called the game right after that because all of a sudden the field became to bad to play on. The field was no worse then it was at the top of the sixth, and if you played through the top of the 6th, then why not play through the bottom.

Oh that's right, the Phils might have scored and THAT would have really effed things up.


When you have an established set of rules that managers make decisions based on you can't just change them mid stream..

So once again, baseball was saved from itself and an incompitent commissioner by mother nature..

No the question is this.. The game is scheduled to conclude tonight at 8. If it is still raining in Philly, and you can't get the game in, do you go to Tampa tomorrow and thursday and then if the rays win 2 down there, come back up and complete the game on Friday..

I agree the game should have been stopped at the top of the inning. I can't decide whether it was a conspiracy or the act of Bud the Idiot.

The games start so late the entire city is in sleep deprivation walking around like zombies. MLB is kissing Faux Sports' butts on this one.

That said, the Phils do get four innings at the plate to three for the Rays. As Charlie said, we get 12 outs and they get 9.

Just a shame the J-Roll had to go through all that embarrassment.
