It's usually a good idea to avoid loud belching during an interview. Good luck!

Hey, do you know how penguins determine whether or not the water's safe from predators before they jump in?

They all crowd up to the edge of the water until one (or more) fall in. If nobody gets eaten, the water's safe!

Sorry about teasing you about your name.

Hey that's a great aquarium! I haven't been there in about 10 years. The last time I was there, I probably spent an hour checking out the beluga whales. They're so cool!

You are known for bringing home stray animals, TTers, ect.

Be careful, that frisking could lead to more children!

well I went today, I was so nerves about this thing. So i took my daughter with me for support.
the interview went great. it help with the fact that i told her how much i loved to hike and backpack. long story short, she may be joining us on the Tom Jones Mt trip. :)
Well like I said it went great!!!!

so I start my training tom.
YEAH!!!!!

the best part is, is that the woman got a great idea while we were there. She asked if we would mind doing a mother and daughter thing together. I had no pronblem with that. Treenut said yes.
So we both got in.
Im doing this program for 6 months then I will be able to enter the program that works behind the sences with the animals!!
I am so stoked. Its great cause my daughter will be there with me.

she asked if there was one animal that we perferd. well i of course said Penguin.

I GET TO WORK WITH THE PENGUINS!!

Awww...
We went to the Aquarium in Boston and saw some Rock Hoppers and another breed of penguins. They are so cute, and fun to watch. I am jealous of the students who have to scrub there pens and feed them, they get to handle them....

Very cool maple. I guess you can list this under one of the many "advantages of backpacping". Any time you can do these things with your kids is a bonus.

Did you know that a walrus can give himself Oral Sex?
they will do it for hours.
It was just funyy to learn this with a bunch of teenagers. If you pick the Walrus for your animal and you see them doing it, then you still will have to explaine it to the little kids what they are doing and why.
then they rub themselves up against the glass with there #&%!$ out and rubbing it. Its to gross!!

that reminds me. once, at the aquarium in Boston, my friends and i watched the penguins doing it for like a half-hour. except i didn't know what they were doing, LOL! later, i asked why they were all trying to stand on top of each other like that...it was like 3 years ago.

oh yeah, and congratulations! :-)

thinking about taking my last vacation day for 2003 for this....

they are looking for volunteers to go out with a group of people and help find and count the Homeless people. Its not a pleasant way of volunteering, but there is a need for people to do this.
So it's from 10:00pm to 4:00am Feb 23rd. So I would take the 24th off so I could sleep!!

never thought I would do this kind of volunteering. interesting how this will turn out! any one ever did something like this?

I help out at the local "soup-Kitchen" sometimes serving meals to the homeless. Actually, know some of them on a first name basis (just from working there so long).

yes, and no. I found that they were pretty unreliable. ie if they said they were going to meet me somewhere or call me, they didn't. But maybe that was just one. I had a dear friend that I met. He was from Kentucky (hitched it all the way out here), had some medical problems, went to AZ. Called once but I was out and could never reach him back again. I'm still hoping he will try to call. He has my home address and an open invite to come visit any time. A very nice gentleman (kind of like an adopted grandfather.) Name is Billy Clark, I'd say he was in his 70's. Plays a blue guitar and sings too. Quite a character.

it has been so long since I have
volunteered, I am getting that itch again.
So I called a place here on the Island, United For Wildlife. very cool people, they have gotten so big that they are in need of people to help out with the animals. They have a new building now and seem to be the only Wildlife Rehabilitator around for miles. They are under the Wildlife Conservation Society. he is looking to teach people to be rehabilitators too :)

umm tree, can you build me a little shed to hold my ummm gear yeah thats it, to hold my gear :D

Where are we going to put the shed? near the windsurfers that we can't get into the garage?
