My mom sent me a Christmas ornament of the White House from 1996...she is staunch Repub...I am whatever floats my boat at the time...1996 means Billie Boy was in office. I promptly threw the ornament away.

Further, because you have more intelligence than the axis of idiots (SS, XL, sarge, etc), you bear more of the responsibility of the actions of the officials that you support (whether by default or choice).

Do you support the War in Iraq? If so, and based on your past posts, I believe you do, then my post in the climber post stands. If you don't support the war in Iraq, explain your reasons now and I'll retract my statement.

Here's my political message, in case you haven't figured it out: check the party platform, fight for the parts of that party you believe in, and hold those policians accountable. As for your opposing party, the differances are so vast, you must fight it, or change it. But if you support it fully, be prepared to defend it fully, either here, or in action. If you don't, be prepared to be called out on it.

In my humble (yet well known) opinion, those who don't combat pro-facsist politicians are pro-facsist. And those who have a small inkling that their gov. is fascist, and do nothing about it, are accoplices in the facsism..... ask Germans form the ages of 60-90+. The beginnings of this polity (fascsism is a result of the deadly combination of lack of education, opprutunity and complacency, combined with nationalism, corporatism and a blind sense of loyalty), were not renounced, universally, by the people, because of fear, and the deaths of those who did speak out.

OK - Rnat over. Prove to me the War in Iraq should be supported by you, specifically, wanderer, and if you don't support the war, how can you support the party who encouraged and supported it all this time?

IMHO, our need to be in Iraq is paramount to the region geo-politicly. Did this admin screw the pooch on the evidence to go in? Absomotherfukinglutely. Is that wrong? Again, yes. Am I sorry we went in? No. As I have said before the fact we were taking out an evil dictator was reason enough in my eyes. The policies in Iraq have lead to this downhill spiral and we MUST rectify it and WIN AT ALL COSTS.

when we first went in to Iraq Iran was shltting their pants and wanted help us. Now that we have the terrorist problems in Iraq, partly due to Iran's involvement, they see that they can beat us if they can cause the population to lose heart. Hence we get 12 page love letters from Ahmadinejad to us.

I think Iran was the whole reason for going into Iraq. Set up a democracy next door and the population of Iran will rise up. If we leave now Iranians will see they can not depend on us if they rise up.

IMHO Iran is the single greatest threat to world peace today. Ahmadinejad is worse than Hitler IMHO because unlike Hitler, who simply had that great German efficiency, Ahmadinejad is a religious fanatic. He's crazier than a shlthouse rat. He has said publicly he is the who will start Armagedon and speed up the return of the Islamic messiah who fell down a well hundreds of years ago. When even had the main street in Teran widened for the victorious parade when their messiah comes. He has said repeatedly he wants to wipe Israel off the map and they don't have long before Israel is gone. He is developing nukes. This is what HE is saying. Not what the Bush admin is saying. Personally, when a crazyassed fanatic who leads a country says he's gonna do something I think we need to take his word for it.

That is why Iraq is so important IMHO.”
