well, i am on darvocet now as a complete diet. surgery went well i think, on my elbow. typing with one hand takes forever. not going to be able to make yam trip to tenn. boohoo....

“I'm on the list too. Last week, I got terrible bursitis in my left hip and while it's healing it seems to be a slow process. It's just from hiking too fast and too far. No more overdoing it for me since it totally sucks being injured and now sick on top of it. Yesterday, I just developed shingles across my back and chest and am in agony with pain. So far it doesn't seem to be spreading further, but I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks. Just when the weather gets nice my body breaks down on me.”

I have my podiatrist appt at 11:45 today. Hoping for good news. What's weird is that my foot didn't just hurt before. Now it does. Hmmm....”

“She's had problems with it for years from work (repetitive motions) and they finally decided to fix it for her. She had surgery yesterday.”

“Looks like I'm going to be posting on here for another 2 months or so. Arg!”

“my knee still aches, especially at night, i see the doc on friday(2 weeks post-op).”

“I saw the patient (wolfeyes) again yesterday and she was looking pretty good. Pain meds had put a perma-grin on her face. I think she'll recover just fine.”

“I am half way through my therapy. 2 more weeks to go on this phase. Then I go for 6 weeks of rehab.

My back pain is gone, a good sign but I am still taking my pain meds and wearing a back brace.”

My pain started in my 20's (there goes that old theory). Ha ha ha! I ain't old I'm great!!!

It's a workout going uphill on it! Phew! I had trouble with my asthma using it this morning. : )”

“There was a kid names Dan who has a scooter in high school. He was a very tiny kid, and he had a very large helmet. Thus he was thereafter known as "Dark Helmet" ala Spaceballs. It was brilliant. It was hilarious to see this tiny kid with his mo-ped with Melvins and Sex Pistols stickers all over it. Good guy actually. He died of cancer a couple years back. Good guy. RIP Dark Helmet. I feel really old sometimes. Death makes me feel old. Wow, that hit me like a ton of bricks just now.”

“No. I'm wearing only flat shoes as of late.

Had my podiatrist appt today. I'm allowed to start rehabbing it a little and walk normal. But I'm supposed to walk really slow and take small strides so as not to bend my foot too much. Getting there, getting there.”

Well into Yoga two weeks now....my back is sore, but I'm ok and doing better....off to the DR next week for an update.....I fondled my pack today....longingly....

I had to buy slip on shoes cause I'm not allowed to bend! I only have 4 more sessions on "the rack" before I see the Dr. then (I hope) on to rehab! Yea me!”

“finished 1st week of rehad on the knee, i really thought it would be better by now. oh well that's how it goes. my left knee is bothering me also, popping sound at the knee cap. will see the doc on the 4th.”

“I've started the rehab portion of my recovery. YIPPEE!!!”

Rehab is the light at the end of the tunnel. My foot is doing much better. See the podiatrist on Friday.”

“saw the doc and through with rehad. he wants me to bicycle 30 minutes a day, shouldn't be hard to do the weather here is nice.
good luck tango, glad to hear you are doing better. i still have a hard time getting up on my knees when i'm on the ground.”

I begged him to let me do SOMETHING, so he gave me a few exercises before I started on Monday. Four weeks of rehab, I love it!”

“Woo Hoo! Good news at the podiatrist! My foot is fastly healing. I definitely will be backpacking in July or sooner. Yay!”

“I'm on the list now. HPM scrubbed the kitchen floor thoroughly; he even took up the ac vent cover to clean under the edges. I didn't know this when I walked in to put something on the counter. My left foot went right down the hole to my knee, scraping up my leg. My right knee twisted, popped, and then I fell on it. It's swelling and starting to bruise. We're supposed to take Laurel to the Smokies this coming weekend for a train ride. I hope I can even ride in the car by the weekend, let alone walk around. This really sucks, and hurts like Hell.”
