Did the NFL do away with the rule against offensive players assisting the runner? I can understand a no-call if he was anywhere near blocking the defender, but he was on the opposite side of the defender with his arms wrapped around Ben and pulling him forward.” hyway 10:01:24 AM 2/02/09 Does anyone have any input on this? Have they thrown that rule out?” 12:45:08 PM 2/02/09 “Goobers are grown in t*lt's Georgia.” 12:45:26 PM 2/02/09 “stove, what can i do to get you to get off this thread? last edited: 2/02/09 12:26:48 PM” 12:46:27 PM 2/02/09 “Pull my finger, crash.” 12:51:34 PM 2/02/09 “smell mine, first” 12:52:52 PM 2/02/09 “Hi crash! It was sheer stupidity by the refs not to have an official review they did review it...it was a very fast review but it was reviewed hyway, that is not currently a rule in the NFL, that i've ever heard of anyway...in fact, other players are considered part of the field...for instance if a qb sneaks he can be on top of other players and the play is still considered live...also, the full back running back relationship relies heavily on this CB, there was one angle that you could see both toes down last edited: 2/02/09 12:41:54 PM” 1:05:11 PM 2/02/09 “Maybe they'll get Paul Simon to do the halftime show next year (he's a Liberal, too, ya know) < grrrrrrrr.... When the interview was finished, ESPN went back to its panel of Kolber, Tom Jackson, Trent Dilfer and Cris Carter, and the four of them gushed like a partisan operative on the campaign trail. Even if they didn't see the initial logic in the Colts drafting a running back to pair with Joseph Addai, after listening to Brown, they were utterly smitten. "Now that's the kind of person you want on your football team,'' Carter said. This much, though, we know even before seeing the former UConn running back gain a single yard in the National Football League: This is one impressive young guy. If he's as good on the field as he appears to be off the field, the Colts are going to be happy beneficiaries. http://www.indystar.com/article/20090427/SPORTS15/904270345/1004/SPORTS” 5:51:34 AM 4/27/09 2:19:28 PM 5/13/09 Steelers 1-0 “What a game! Steelers win in OT! I am tired just watching that game! WOO HOO!!!” 9:15:42 PM 9/10/09 “Good game” 9:16:41 PM 9/10/09 “Hope Troy is okay.” 9:52:58 PM 9/10/09 “That was fun to watch. A couple of missed field goals and catches was the difference. Love how the Steelers hang in there. Reminded me of the end of the Super Bowl.” 5:57:44 AM 9/11/09 “any game in which the titans get beat is good...it was tough to stay awake but overtime rejuvinated me” 7:37:10 AM 9/11/09 “steelers were lucky” 8:03:28 AM 9/11/09 “Boy that's pretty sad when they can't get the job done in four quarters. btw, Go Bengals!” 8:44:04 AM 9/11/09 “Go Bengals! WOOTWOOT!” 4:58:42 PM 9/13/09 “My Panthers and Redskins both sucked today. Why did Carolina extend Jake's contract?” 6:08:02 PM 9/13/09 “I really feel bad for him (Jake)wonder what happened. I thought last years game was a one time thing. I don't like Sundays when the Steelers don't play. SUCKS!!! GO STEELERS!!!” 6:45:27 PM 9/13/09 “wow, the bungles were this close to being undefeated” 5:46:49 AM 9/14/09 “colts showed they can move the football. all those miscues were almost their undoing, however. a fumble, an interception, a missed field goal, and two turnovers on downs. except for the int, those were not mental errors, and the colts made very few of those. tacklers wrapped up except for a couple of plays (garrard and drew will make ya miss, i dont care who you are), and i believe colts only had one penalty. the defense was more aggressive without getting out of position. garrard was under fire all night. no one will ever mistake the guy for montana, but the d proved they can stop people. special teams play was very good, and the punt team was phenomenal. run offense was surprisingly ineffective, however. but i think once donald brown figures out the sytem fully, addai will be watching from the bench more often” 6:02:01 AM 9/14/09 “Miami pretty well self destructed. You can't turn the ball over that much and expect to win.” 7:34:28 AM 9/14/09 “Someone posted a bogus ad on craigslist saying Jake Delhomme's contract was up sale, and that he needed a loving home: "please contact head coach Fox." It's been flagged for removal already.” 7:35:59 AM 9/14/09 Hard Knocks? “[i]Go Bengals! WOOTWOOT! Nigal 7:58:42 PM 9/13/09 Speaking of "sin sin": Has anybody else been watching "Hard Knocks" on HBO? Its a behind the scenes show following the Bengals through the season - starting with arrival at training camp (unless I missed some pre-training camp episodes). Training camp was kind of a more real reality show (its hard to call pro-football the "real world" but it wasn't created just for this TV show) - watching people get cut or assigned to the practice squad. Our cable service was messed up for a while - so they gave us 3 months of free HBO to make up for it. Its going to be hard giving up "Hard Knocks." I think the Bengals will be the team I watch most closely after the Patriots. http://www.hbo.com/hardknocks/ last edited: 9/14/09 7:41:30 AM” 8:03:14 AM 9/14/09 Jump to Page << prev
